Suns Trade With Jazz for 3 1st Round Picks and Jimmy Butler Trade Rumors Are Swirling
Jimmy Butler Trade Rumors Continue to Heat Up, With the Suns Emerging as a Strong Landing Spot
Huge NBA Trade
Jimmy Butler’s time with the Miami Heat might finally be nearing its end. The Heat don’t seem eager to move on from the star but he’s made it clear he wants out. NBA picks and predictions would likely have the Phoenix Suns as the top landing spot for the All-Star.

A Failed Project
The Suns have been going all in for years but haven’t had any success. The Bradley Beal trade set the team back years and it’s going to cost them a lot to move on from him. The only hope they have for landing Butler is for Beal to be sent to Miami or potentially a third team.
For that to happen, the Suns are going to have to pay and are accumulating some assets to form a more appealing trade package potentially. According to NBA news from ESPN’s Shams Charania, Phoenix traded their unprotected 2031 first-round pick to the Utah Jazz for three first-round picks. However, they are getting the least favorable first-round picks in 2025 of Cleveland/Minnesota, 2027 of Cleveland/Minnesota/Utah, and 2029 of Cleveland/Minnesota/Utah.
This is an aggressive move for Phoenix and unlocks the franchise’s next six drafts — and most importantly, breaks up their lone tradable first in 2031 into three future firsts. The Suns now have tripled their first-rounders. https://t.co/kd8gmaegTi

It’s a somewhat weird trade as the Suns don’t necessarily get a more appealing pick, they just get worse picks. The Suns are at risk of missing the NBA playoffs so they have to do whatever they can to turn things around.
Will Butler End Up With Suns?
The Suns are desperate and need to make something happen. The Heat need to find a resolution to this Butler situation so they may be the only two teams that make sense for a trade.

Beal hasn’t been the player he was but he may be able to get back to being a high-end scorer if he’s the top option on a team. He may be able to actually help the Heat.
As we know it, the end of an incredible era for Miami Heat basketball 💔
Thank you Jimmy Butler, wish it didn’t have to end like this.
One day 22 will be up in the rafters and we will not forget your amazing playoff performances ever. Thank you for nearly getting us the chip. pic.twitter.com/8MsutaQC8X

With interest in Butler limited around the league, according to NBA trade rumors, this might be the only trade they can make. The trade deadline is getting closer and both sides could get desperate. In the end, it feels like there’s a good chance that Butler ends up in Phoenix.
