Top 5 NBA Expert Picks This Week

1. Nets (+12½) vs Warriors 11/25

The Brooklyn Nets are riding high after a massive non-conference road win, taking down the Sacramento Kings 108-103. With that momentum, I’m banking on them to cover the spread against Dub Nation.

Now, don’t get me wrong – the Warriors are no joke offensively, averaging 117.6 points per game, ranking fourth in the league. But Brooklyn thrives in these types of matchups. The Nets know how to keep games tight, especially in non-conference battles on the road, where they’ve covered the spread 60% time this season.

Plus, shooting guard SG Cam Thomas is coming off a red-hot 34-point performance, and I’m banking he keeps the fire going against Golden State. Don’t underestimate the Nets here. Take Brooklyn against the spread.

Bet on the Brooklyn Nets +12.5

2. San Antonio vs Utah 11/26: Pick San Antonio Moneyline

The San Antonio Spurs and Utah Jazz are practically roommates at this point – marking this at the fourth meeting this month. Out of the three previous games, two were decided by less than eight points, with the Spurs winning twice. Coming off a big 104-94 win over Golden State, my NBA expert pick this week is backing them and the moneyline.

The duo of veteran PG Chris Paul, averaging 10.7 points and 8.5 assists per game, and C Victor Wembanyama, averaging a double-double with 22.9 points, 10.2 rebounds, and shooting 45.5% from three against Utah, should be enough to handle the Jazz once again. With everything looking up for the Spurs, I expect them to take this one on the road and close out the series.

3. Hawks vs Cavaliers 11/27: Lay Points with Cavs ATS Pick

Definitely an obvious pick, I’m taking the Cleveland Cavaliers against the spread here. The Cavs are still undefeated at home, leading the league with 123.5 points per game, and are coming full throttle, with SG Donovan Mitchell leading the way with a team-high 24.4 points per game, followed by PG Darius Garland at 20.3 points and a team-high 6.9 assists. And let’s not forget C Jarett Allen, putting up a double-double with 14.8 points and 11.1 rebounds per game.

Meanwhile, the Atlanta Hawks are 3-6 on the road and are the worst in the NBA at defending the 3-point shot, allowing opponents to shoot 39.7% from deep. Do I really need to say more? Bet the Cavs against the spread.

4. Knicks vs Hornets 11/28: Ride Knicks ATS Away

The New York Knicks are the better team here, and they’ll cover the spread with ease. They’ve been on fire, averaging 117.5 points per game, and a lot of that has to do with PG Jalen Brunson, who’s dropping 25.1 points per game and dishing out 7.4 assists per game. Throw in C Karl Anthony-Towns, who’s averaging a double-double with 26.1 points and 12.5 rebounds, and the Knicks’ offense is stacked.

Meanwhile, the Charlotte Hornets? Not so great lately, winning just two of their last five games, despite draining 16.7 three-pointers per game. I expect Charlotte to crumble. With New York coming off a loss at home, the Hornets are in for a tough night.

5. Pelicans vs Grizzlies 11/29: Bet Grizzlies ATS

For my final NBA pick this week, I’m backing the Memphis Grizzlies to cover the spread against the New Orleans Pelicans. The Pelicans are still without PF Zion Williamson until December 22nd (per updated Pelicans vs Grizzlies injuries), which will hurt them against a nearly full-strength Grizzlies team.

Memphis has been on fire offensively, ranking third in the NBA with 120.3 points per game, led by PF Jaren Jackson Jr. at 22.9 points. PG Ja Morant is just shy of a double-double with 20.6 points and 9.1 assists, and SG Desmond Bane adds 16.2 points and 6.6 rebounds. With New Orleans ranking 22nd in defense, allowing 115 points per game, Memphis should take advantage at home.
