Our NBA Predictions had the Nuggets winning it all, and they didn’t let down their loyal fanbase.
Despite the sportsbook opening them at +2000, they won the NBA Championship like a -5000 chance against the Miami Heat.
Now, there are talks of the Nuggets becoming a dynasty, but it doesn’t always work like that.
The Core Remains
The positive for the Nuggets is that their core will stay intact, including two-time MVP Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Michael Porter Jr.
That’s why many NBA picks have them going back-to-back, and it’s a legitimate argument. We don’t see either of those three players taking a step backward, especially Murray and Porter Jr.
They are young and talented players, who should only improve with this season under their belt. We also see Jokic staying at his level, which is the highest it gets in the NBA, so it then becomes an attitude thing.
Some teams don’t cope with the pressure of being defending champions. It ruins their drive to win, so it comes down to their attitude in the off-season.
