Will Nuggets Become a Dynasty?

Groundwork Has Been Laid

Our NBA Predictions had the Nuggets winning it all, and they didn’t let down their loyal fanbase.

Despite the sportsbook opening them at +2000, they won the NBA Championship like a -5000 chance against the Miami Heat.

Now, there are talks of the Nuggets becoming a dynasty, but it doesn’t always work like that.

The Core Remains

The positive for the Nuggets is that their core will stay intact, including two-time MVP Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Michael Porter Jr.

That’s why many NBA picks have them going back-to-back, and it’s a legitimate argument. We don’t see either of those three players taking a step backward, especially Murray and Porter Jr.

They are young and talented players, who should only improve with this season under their belt. We also see Jokic staying at his level, which is the highest it gets in the NBA, so it then becomes an attitude thing.

Some teams don’t cope with the pressure of being defending champions. It ruins their drive to win, so it comes down to their attitude in the off-season.

Online gambling markets have the Nuggets at +550 to win in 2024, which is a little short for our liking. However, there is every chance of them making another deep run in the playoffs because they have a good core, a good coach, and no players who put themselves above their team.

“It’s hitting me right now,” said coach Michael Malone. “This is an amazing experience.”

“Let’s do this again. I want to be on another float. I want to be at another parade and do this thing again.”

The term “dynasty” is fraught with trouble. However, there are more positives than negatives.

All About Productivity

It’s all about getting the same productivity from the role players, who had a huge part of the Nuggets’ success.

Our NBA expert picks expect a high level from the likes of Aaron Gordon, Christian Braun, and Bruce Brown, who could be in for a bigger payday.

They were excellent during the NBA Finals run, especially Gordon. The power forward has always been a good addition to the team, but he came of age during the playoffs, and similar output next season should hold the Nuggets in good stead.

It’s not easy to replicate his scoring and rebounding prowess again, but he has a good head on his shoulders, much like most of the roster. That’s going to be their key to success, and with a dynasty possible, they should want it.

Winning one NBA title isn’t good enough for some, and they have a rare chance to keep most of the team together. It’s why sport betting markets have so much respect for the Nuggets, so the future is bright.

We also think they’re the best-positioned team in the NBA. The Boston Celtics are also looking likely for a championship at +550, but there isn’t as much harmony with their young players, and it’s quite an ego-driven team.
