A Dream Backcourt

Most teams with Tatum and Brown in the backcourt would contend for the NBA title, and they’re a key reason for the Celtics’ success.

Tatum hasn’t been at his brilliant best throughout the NBA playoffs so far, but his level of play always improves the deeper they go.

With the Eastern Conference finals approaching, against either the Indiana Pacers or New York Knicks, bettors should expect Tatum to live up to expectations.

Brown is a great two-way player, and although he is prone to committing turnovers, and making the odd “interesting” play, he’s a key part of their roster.

He has become a villain for the Celtics, a role which he’s not accustomed to but he’s embracing.

“Whatever you do is going to be scrutinized, or no matter how good you are, it’s never going to be enough or bring any praise or any media attention,” Brown said. “It’s tough, but at the same time, it is what it is. You’ve gotta embrace that villain.”

Tatum and Brown are one of the best backcourt duos in the NBA, and without them, the Celtics wouldn’t stand a chance.

Tanking is for Losers: Celtics Built for Success

We believe teams that intentionally tank to pick up top draft picks are built for failure.

It’s something the Celtics haven’t done, especially in recent times, and it creates a winning culture.

Teams such as the Detroit Pistons, Houston Rockets, and Philadelphia 76ers continue to struggle because they are used to losing.

Instilling a losing culture into young players is a great way to waste their potential, so we credit the Celtics for making good signings and building up players from an early age.

Credit goes to the President of Basketball Operations and former coach Brad Stevens. He showed his professionalism when coaching Butler before being signed by the Celtics, and he’s even better as an executive.

The Celtics didn’t win the title last year when losing to Miami in the East Finals, but they didn’t panic. They made good signings and kept many of the bench players, who were always going to improve.

Experience Shining for Celtics

There was a lot of hype around the Thunder and their group of young players, but the Celtics have the perfect mix.

They have young and exciting players, but mostly experienced players who know what it takes to make a deep run in the playoffs.

Tatum and Brown have plenty of experience, despite being in the younger category. However, having the likes of Al Horford and Jrue Holiday sets them apart from the opposition.

Horford has been playing out of skin as a 37-year-old power forward. He strikes when the Celtics need him most, and he doesn’t appear to be slowing down.

Having players like Horford is a must, and Holiday is also proving his worth as a 33-year-old. He was brought into the team for some stability at the point guard role, and he’s doing his job nicely.

It’s a balanced roster, and that’s why it’s wise to bet on the Celtics to win the NBA title.
