Embiid, Antetokounmpo Set to Collide
76ers Look to Rebound vs. Reigning Champs
The Philadelphia 76ers are coming off an ugly blowout loss to the Boston Celtics, getting smoked 135-87. Their schedule doesn’t get easier as they visit the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks.
Milwaukee has won five of its last seven, including a double-digit win over the Indiana Pacers in their last game. Additionally, the Bucks have dominated the series of late? Let’s take a closer look at this NBA game betting matchup to see which side is the best bet in the sportsbook.

76ers Can’t Falter on Defense
This Philadelphia squad is seventh in the league in points allowed per game to their opponents, but the doors were blown off the board in its last showing.
We’ll have to see if the Sixers can rebound in this spot after an uncharacteristic outing. It has been one of the major factors of their success and they will need every bit of that in this game.
Joel Embiid is going to be tasked with a lot of that burden, especially in the paint. Embiid is their leader with 29.3 points, 11.1 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.5 blocks per game.
He also acts as their best rim protector. Given how they are the 21st-ranked offense in the Association, defense has to be their focus as they attempt to stop Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Bucks Phenomenal Offensively
The Bucks are excellent on the offensive end, which is going to really challenge the 76ers. They are ranked sixth in the league in points scored per game and Antetokounmpo is the biggest reason for their success.
The reigning league MVP averages the most points per game in the league with a full stat line of 29.4 points, 11.3 rebounds and 6.0 assists per contest. Not to mention that he just dropped 50 points against the Indiana Pacers.
He has a lot of help from Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton as his wing men. Holiday averages 18.0 points and 6.7 assists while Middleton accounts for 19.4 points and 5.3 assists.
The Bucks are really fluid at the offensive end and if they can keep Embiid under wraps, they’ll will and cover versus the NBA odds here.
76ers vs Bucks Head-to-Head
The Bucks have controlled the all-time series against the 76ers, winning 115 compared to Philadelphia’s 102. On top of that, the Bucks have won the last five meetings. That win streak dates back to early 2020.

76ers vs Bucks Prediction
The most recent betting line has the Bucks listed as 6½-point favorites against the 76ers. This isn’t all that surprising considering how dominant Milwaukee has been against its fellow Eastern Conference competitors.
Antetokounmpo, Middleton and Holiday form one of the best trios in the league, and the 76ers are coming off their worst loss of the season against Boston.
Plus, Philadelphia isn’t going to be getting newly-acquired James Harden into the lineup just yet as he still recovers from a hamstring injury.
The trade for Harden cost the Sixers Seth Curry and Andre Drummond as well, severely limiting the depth that they have available. Milwaukee should be able to extend their winning streak, so take them if you bet online.
