The Philadelphia 76ers are in a three-way battle with the Boston Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks for second place in the Eastern Conference standings.
So, the Sixers are technically not only in the race for the Atlantic Division title, but they could challenge for top spot in the East. This kind of an incentive is hard to overlook. Add to that Philadelphia’s solid form, which is comprised of a 6-4 record in their last 10 games and a 4-1 record in their last five, against the Clippers’ four-game losing streak, and a strong case exists for the Sixers to win at the expense of Los Angeles.
Covering the 5½-point spread might be trickier for the Sixers, especially as the hosts will be keen to get back on trac at home. That said, the last two games did see the Clippers whimper to double-digit defeats, albeit on the road. Nevertheless, such defeats can have a ripple effect and knock back confidence.
