Best NBA Player Prop Bets Today: ‘Freak’ Out on Points Total

If you haven’t noticed, the NBA season is entering its second month already. I always say the NBA provides us with the best reality show in the world, and this offseason didn’t disappoint. Damian Lillard, Kristaps Porzingis, Jrue Holiday and Bradley Beal were all traded and James Harden was dealt in the first month. The league landscape looks different this year.

We must also watch Victor Wembanyama and Chet Holmgren as they appear to be battling for Rookie of the Year this season.

Some teams are off to slow starts and some surprising ones but, as always, there are plenty of player props to select from. On Tuesday, we have a terrific eight-game slate of games to select our NBA bets from. All eight games are continued Group Play of the NBA In-Season Tournament.

Some exciting matchups tonight include a pair of playoff rematches between Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors versus the Sacramento Kings. We’ll also see Damian Lillard and the Milwaukee Bucks battle Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat. There are many options for Tuesday night, so let’s get to it.

You may be familiar with my NFL picks, and I handicap the NBA player prop market similarly. My research will always back up the reasoning behind my NBA prop bets. Now that the stage is set, let’s dive into Tuesday’s best NBA player prop bets. Best of luck if you tail!

Tuesday’s Best NBA Player Props

Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 30.5 Points (-121)

Some people might be hesitant to back the Greek Freak at this number, but I’m doing it confidently. Riding with Giannis Antetokounmpo on any night is easy, but riding him in the ultimate revenge spot is even better. I backed Antetokounmpo in the first matchup versus the Heat back in October, and he finished with 33 points. The Bucks will battle the Heat on Tuesday night.

Miami was responsible for knocking the Bucks out of the playoffs last season in a massive series upset. Antetokounmpo was injured in Game 1 of the series and missed Games 2 and 3. Ultimately, the Bucks lost the series 4-1, and Antetokounmpo will be out for blood in this playoff rematch. Including the playoffs, Antetokounmpo has exceeded this number in four of his last five healthy games against the Heat. The former MVP looks like he wants the award again this season as he has already gone over 30 points in nine of 16 games. Antetokounmpo will get his revenge.

Rudy Gobert Over 11.5 Rebounds (-136)

Remember when I mentioned Chet Holmgren earlier? Now, I am going to pick on him. The 7-footer is the Thunder’s best rebounder, but he will struggle against true bigs like Rudy Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns on Tuesday night. Oklahoma City will travel to Minnesota to take on a very strong Timberwolves squad. The Thunder allow the fifth-most rebounds per game and the second-most to opposing centers.

Rudy Gobert is going to dominate the glass on Tuesday night. He has exceeded this number in just 43% of games this season, but the matchup doesn’t get any better. Over his last few matchups, Gobert had to go up against some of the best rebounding teams in the NBA, so I’m taking the trend with a grain of salt. In two games he played the entirety of last season versus Oklahoma City, Gobert finished with 16 and 15 boards. I expect him to have a big night.

Alperen Sengun Over 25.5 Points/Assists

I’m sticking with another big with our final player prop for Tuesday. Sengun has had a great start this season. It’s been somewhat of a breakout for him as he is averaging over 20 points per game. The points/rebounds/assists line at 36.5 seems a tad too high for my liking, so I’m sticking with his points and assists. He has gone over this line in six of his last seven games.

The lone under was against Jaren Jackson Jr., the reigning Defensive Player of the Year. The matchup with the Dallas Mavericks is a soft one for the Rockets big man. They allow the fourth-most points per game to centers and are bottom-three in points allowed in the paint. Dallas owns the seventh-worst scoring defense, so the assist opportunities will be there. Fire up Sengun.
