Best NBA Player Props 3/18/2024: Bane, Hachimura, and More

A new week is here, and we have just one month remaining on the NBA regular season schedule. The playoff races in each conference are heating up, and so are our NBA prop bets today. We’re coming off of another profitable week, so let’s stay hot with our NBA predictions!

We always see wacky results in the NBA on weekends. On Saturday, Steph Curry returned to the Warriors lineup after missing three games with an ankle injury to lead Golden State to a critical 128-121 win over LeBron James and the Lakers. The Warriors to make the playoffs has been one of my top bets when looking at the latest NBA futures odds, and this win could go a long way.

Sunday delivered more memorable moments this season, highlighted by Kyrie Irving’s buzzer-beater to defeat the defending champs.

The NBA playoff races are scorching hot, with one month left in the season. Monday night’s schedule features eight matchups and teams with plenty of motivation. The injury reports constantly move our NBA betting lines, but I’ve identified a few spots to jump on.

Here are the best NBA player prop bets for March 18.

Best NBA Player Props Today

1. NBA Prop Pick: Blazers PG Anfernee Simons Over 4+ Made Threes (-109)

Our first NBA bet is a three-point prop. We have found a ton of success with three-point props this season, and although this isn’t a plus-money banger, I’m still turning to Anfernee Simons tonight. He’s been scorching hot of late and has one of the best matchups this season for any shooter tonight when the Portland Trail Blazers cap off their quick two-game road trip against the Chicago Bulls.

Chicago allows the most three-point attempts per game and the second-most makes. He is over this line in seven of his last eight and 16 of his previous 23 games. In his last two games on the road in Chicago, he shot 5 of 10 and 5 of 12 from downtown. I like Simon’s chances of lighting it up again and knocking down at least four threes tonight.

2. NBA Prop Pick: Grizzlies SG Desmond Bane Over 23½ Points (-108)

I hoped we’d catch this line at 21½, but I’m comfortable playing it up to this number tonight. The Memphis Grizzlies kick off a four-game West Coast road trip on Monday against the Sacramento Kings. Memphis doesn’t have much incentive to win any games the rest of the season, as they are looking ahead to the draft and rebuilding this roster next season with Ja Morant. Despite that, I like their chances to keep things close tonight against the Kings largely because Jaren Jackson Jr. and Desmond Bane have returned to the lineup.

Bane is over this line in 18 of 29 games without Morant this season. He returned to the lineup over the weekend and scored 22 points with a team-high 31.1% usage rate. The Kings allow the second-best three-point shooting percentage (40.2%), and Bane isn’t shy about letting it fly.

3. NBA Prop Pick: Lakers PF Rui Hachimura Over 13½ Points (-124)

The Los Angeles Lakers host the Atlanta Hawks tonight, and LA is desperate to get back in the win column. The Hawks are on the second night of a back-to-back, and they are coming off a massive win against the Clippers in a surprising blowout. The injury report is murky for Atlanta, but I think there’s a strong likelihood that Jalen Johnson or De’Andre Hunter will sit after both recently returned from injuries. If one of them sits, I’m expecting the Hawks’ defense to take a hit.

Anthony Davis could sit tonight after exiting the previous game with an eye injury, but I expect him to play because the Lakers can’t afford to lose many more games. The Hawks have the third-worst defensive rating in the NBA and allow the sixth-most points per game to opposing power forwards. Rui has exceeded this line in three straight and 10 of his last 15 games. In the previous meeting with Atlanta this season, he scored 16 points. You can roll the dice with several different Lakers who shoot from three tonight – like Austin Reaves or D’Angelo Russell – because the Hawks allow the third-best three-point percentage, but I’m trusting Rui.

4. NBA Prop Pick: Timberwolves C Rudy Gobert Over 14½ Points (-126)

Our final NBA prop bet for Monday will be in Salt Lake City’s high altitude. The Minnesota Timberwolves will battle the Utah Jazz in a rare back-to-back spot in the same arena. Rudy Gobert sat out the previous game but will return tonight and face his former team. Gobert has only exceeded this line in two of five games this season without Karl-Anthony Towns, but the Jazz present a juicy matchup for the Frenchmen.

Utah allows the third-most points per game to opposing centers and is in the bottom 10 in points in the paint allowed. In Gobert’s lone game back in Utah after being traded, he scored 22 points, and this Jazz team has the second-worst defensive rating in the NBA.
