After another solid 2-for-3 effort with our NBA picks on Wednesday, we took a night to recharge. The one game on the docket on Thursday produced a wild finish and another loss for the struggling Western Conference champs. That sets us up for a packed Friday filled with NBA Cup action and loads of bets to be made. Here are three we’ve isolated.

3 Best NBA Player Props Today

1. Bet This Jordan Pool Parlay: Over Points and 3-Pointers

The Washington Wizards are wrapping up a five-game road trip that’s yielded nothing but losses so far. Well, losses plus some nice moments for Jordan Poole, who piled up 42 points with efficiency at San Antonio on Wednesday.

Poole now gets to take aim at the Atlanta Hawks, who struggle mightily to defend the perimeter. Poole scored 26 points while making six 3-pointers against the Hawks on Oct. 28 and then scored 24 while making four triples against Atlanta two nights later.

The Hawks allow opponents to hit on 39.9% from the arc, more than a percentage point higher than anyone else in the league. Poole can be maddeningly hot-and-cold from game to game, but players like this almost always end up on the hot end when playing Atlanta.

NBA odds have Poole’s over/under at 21.5, a number he’s cleared twice already against the Hawks and six out of 10 times overall. Go high on this one and throw in another over on his 3-pointers for the best NBA parlay today.

2. Jusuf Nurkic Over 11.5 Rebounds

The Oklahoma City Thunder play a style of ball that tends to yield plenty of rebounding opportunities. They take a lot of shots (2nd-most per game in the league) and a lot of them are 3-pointers, which means they won’t always have a ton of guys underneath for offensive boards (25th in the league).

The Thunder also turn the ball over fewer times than any other team. Hence the high shot totals. And they’re only 17th in field-goal percentage. You just don’t have many possessions that don’t offer up a chance for a rebound on the defensive end, and OKC also gives up more offensive boards per game than anyone else.

Put it all together and you have a league-worst -8.0 rebounding differential, and most of that was accrued even before big man Chet Holmgren was lost to injury. In two games since he went down they’ve been outrebounded by a whopping 105-60 margin.

Of course, it’s a winning formula. They’ve won those two games. But for our purposes, it opens up an opportunity to target a Phoenix Suns on Friday night. The natural NBA betting choice is Jusuf Nurkic, who is averaging 12.7 boards over his last six games.

3. Austin Reaves Over 2.5 3-Pointers

The Lakers head to San Antonio for a big Friday night showdown with Victor Wembanyama, fresh off a 50-point effort. He’ll get his and you can find some numbers for Wemby at BetUS Sportsbook. We’re looking at the other side of the court and focusing on Austin Reaves, who has a chance to do some good stuff.

Reaves is averaging 20.2 points over his last six games and 9.8 3-point attempts per game over his last five (9th in the league in that span). He’ll be up against a Spurs team that allows 13.2 made 3’s per game – 12th-most in the league – and is on a trajectory to allow more.

Let us explain. Without Jeremy Sochan, who ranked among the NBA leaders in contested 3’s before he suffered a thumb injury, teams are chucking up more triples vs San Antonio. In the five games since Sochan went down, here are the opponents’ 3-point attempt totals, in order: 27 … 32 … 33 … 38 … 44.

The Lakers were 20-for-42 from the arc their last time out and Reaves led them with 11 attempts.

Questions Of The Day

Is there a good game market bet online today?

The Raptors are 8-4 against the spread, 4-1 at home. They return from a five-game trip to host Detroit and they’re getting a point. We like Toronto to pick up its third win of the season here.
