3 Best NBA Player Props to Bet Today
1. D’Angelo Russell Over 11.5 Points (-104)
So much is being made of LeBron’s struggles, and rightly so. Meanwhile, Russell is putting together the first real solid scoring stretch of the season and we think it could continue against Miami.
Russell hit the 20-point mark for the first time last time out and is averaging 17.5 points over his last four games, three of them off the bench. Keep an eye on the NBA news updates for the status of Austin Reaves, as that could thrust Russell back to the bench. Either way, he’ll get his opportunities.
James had a quote after Monday’s debacle at Minnesota that was pretty interesting. He suggested the team went in early on a plan to be more defensive-minded, but that maybe the offense has suffered because of it and the Lakers should lean into their offensive attack again. Russell being moved to the bench was one of the defensive-oriented moves and he put up a string of single-digit efforts after the change.
Lebron has officially missed 19 3-pointers in a row over his last 4 games…

Now, with the team struggling to score points, they need Russell to be himself a bit more, whether off the bench or in the starting five. The veteran guard has hit four 3’s in each of the last two games so he’s heating up there, and he likes to exploit some areas in with the Heat struggle (5-9 feet out, specifically).
Bet on D’Angelo Russell Over 11.5 Points (-104)
2. James Harden Under 22.5 Points (-122)
The Clippers are finishing up a back-to-back with a home game against the Timberwolves. Minnesota held LA to 92 points when the teams met a few days ago and the Clippers have slumped offensively when finishing up these double dips, averaging 106.4 points.
Harden has also had a slight dip in his numbers when playing on no rest. He’s shooting just 35.6% in those situations, averaging only 16.5 points over the last two. The future Hall of Famer has been held under 22.5 points in slightly more than half his games (13 of 23), including a 20-point effort in that loss to the Timberwolves last Friday that featured a wacky finish.

It’s always tough taking a scoring under with a three-time scoring champ, but the 35-year-old won’t have the legs in just enough of his long-range attempts to settle a little lower than our NBA odds.
Bet on James Harden Under 22.5 Points (-122)

3. Nic Claxton Over 10.5 Points (-102)
For my last NBA betting tip today, I have Nic Claxton. The Nets get the struggling Pacers as Indiana plays its third game in four nights (second in a row), all on the road. It’s a given the Pacers will have some energy issues at one point or another, and we’re eager to pounce on that.
Claxton isn’t a big scorer but he does the bulk of his damage in close, an area where Indiana can be had. The Pacers give up the highest field-goal percentage (47.5) between 5-9 feet and the third-most field goals per game (20.5) inside of five feet. The Nets big man gets 92% of his made shots inside of nine feet and should be able to exploit a tired team with a weak interior defense.
Bet on Nic Claxton Over 10.5 Points (-102)
Question Of The Day
Is there a game market bet online that looks interesting tonight?
The Pistons are coming off a home loss to Milwaukee on Tuesday and now have to travel to Boston. They are 4-1 against the spread when playing with a rest disadvantage and the Celtics are 4-6 against the spread at home. Take the 13.5 points and hope Detroit can hang with a Boston team that has a few injuries to watch.
