Best NBA Player Props: Turner Over 13.5 Points Among Top Picks for January 10

We were just a basket away from a perfect night on Thursday. We’ll take two out of three eight days a week, though. And Friday is loaded with some matchups that just scream NBA player props. Here are three we’ve isolated for tonight’s action.

3 Best NBA Player Props to Bet Today

1. Myles Turner Over 13.5 Points (-125)

The Golden State Warriors were in Detroit last night and will complete their challenging back-to-back at Indiana on Friday. We like targeting teams in this kind of a situation as fatigue and lineup fluctuations can lead to some opportunities for the opponent – in this case the Pacers.

Turner averages 15.1 points per game, so just hitting that mark is a winning NBA bet. That figure is 15.7 over the last 10 games, including a 23-point effort at Golden State on Dec. 23. Draymond Green and Steph Curry are unlikely to play in this one, so this could be a depleted Warriors bunch trying to figure out which Pacer to contain.

You should know that Turner is questionable for this one with an illness that knocked him out of the last game, so keep an eye on updates regarding his status. If he suits up, we love this bet at -129 odds.

Finally, let’s keep this all in perspective given what’s going on in LA.

Bet on Myles Turner Over 13.5 Points (-125)

2. Domantas Sabonis Under 18.5 Points (-112)

The streaking Kings head to Boston for one of the top matchups of the night. Sabonis figures to get his double-double, as he has in each of his last 14 games, but we think his scoring could be just a tiny bit limited.

The Celtics were pretty soft inside early in the season. Kristaps Porzingis was sidelined and the team struggled to find ways to defend the interior, leading to some beefy numbers for big men. That’s changed with Porzingis back in the lineup, in a pretty dramatic way.

Boston gives up 48.3 points in the paint on the season, but it was regularly north of 50 and even 60 in that category early on. Heck, the Raptors picked up 78 points in the paint against Boston in the middle of November. The figure is a paltry 34.4 points over the last five games and the Celtics have given up more than that current 48.3 average just once in the last 11 games.

Sabonis ranks second to Giannis Antetokounmpo in terms of made baskets inside of five feet. That’s where he does almost all of his work. Porzingis and the defensive capabilities that come from his presence will make that work pretty difficult.

Bet on Domantas Sabonis Under 18.5 Points (-112)

3. Zach LaVine Over 26.5 Points (-108)

Let’s wrap up the week with a good old-fashioned pick-the-star-to-score-a-lot pick. LaVine has hit the 30-point mark in four straight games, tied for the longest such run of his career, and he gets to try to extend it against the worst defense in the league.

One of those four straight 30-point games was a 32-point showing against the Wizards on New Year’s Day. He was 12-for-20 in that game as part of a hot stretch in which he’s shooting 58.1% from the floor.

No need to overthink this one, just go with the hot hand in what could be a shootout.

Bet on Zach LaVine Over 26.5 Points (-109)

Question Of The Day

Any NBA news items to look for prior to placing some bets?

Speaking of the Wizards, they’ll likely have a game-time decision with star guard Jordan Poole, who is questionable with a hip injury that’s caused him to miss three straight.
