The Milwaukee Bucks host the New York Knicks for a spot in the In-Season Tournament Semifinals.
Sports betting odds have the Bucks favored to win at -4½, so pressure is on them to perform in front of a home crowd.
The Knicks have been a great bet against the spread so far, so they’re looking to keep things close on Tuesday.
Knicks Running Hot
It hasn’t been all smooth sailing for the 12-7 Knicks, but they find themselves full of confidence following three consecutive wins.
They improved their ATS online betting stats to 10-7-2 with wins over the Charlotte Hornets, Detroit Pistons, and Toronto Raptors.
The 119-106 win over the Raptors on the road was a top-notch performance, and that’s why they are only +4½ underdogs against the Bucks.
Jalen Brunson is the catalyst for their offense, and he comes off a 22-point effort. However, it’s the Knicks’ defense which gives them an advantage.
“Once we got our defense going, I loved the way we played offensively,” New York coach Tom Thibodeau said. “I thought we really shared the ball, made plays for each other and really played well as a team. It was great to see.”
They are 6-3-1 ATS on the road, and their defense could get it done. They held the Raptors to 106, the Hornets to 91, and the Heat to 98 points, so it’s stellar.
As well as the Boston Celtics, the Bucks are the testing material in the Eastern Conference.
Our sportsbook is giving them a lot of respect with In-Season Tournament odds, and rightfully so. They are 4-1 over their last five games, including wins over Miami, Atlanta, Portland, and Washington.
Giannis Antetokounmpo averages 29.9 points and 10.8 rebounds per game, and we don’t think the Knicks will have much of an answer for his dominance.
They also have to contend with Damian Lillard, who hasn’t been at his best compared to his level at Portland, but he’s a great secondary scorer.
The Bucks haven’t been an excellent wager. They are 8-11-2 ATS and only 3-6-1 ATS at home, which is a cause for concern.
Winning games is one thing, but they need to cover more spreads to earn the trust of bettors. Playing at home should help in a must-win situation, and we expect a big crowd at Fiserv Forum.

Knicks vs Bucks Game Prediction
Predicted Score: Milwaukee Bucks 115, New York Knicks 108
Worth Betting the Moneyline?
We would rather bet on Milwaukee to cover the spread than take the shorter odds to win outright.
However, the Bucks are a good parlay inclusion to boost potential payouts.
Worth Betting ATS?
After the line opened at -5½, it has firmed into -4½. We’re not surprised by the money coming for the Knicks, but we’re confident the Bucks’ offense can overmatch the Knicks defense.
We see Antetokounmpo scoring over 30 points, and if Lillard lives up to his end of the bargain, they could stretch the lead to double figures at one point.
NBA Pick: Milwaukee Bucks -4½
Worth Betting on the Totals?
Our NBA over under predictions for Dec. 5 have the under cashing. The line is 226½ after opening at 222, so we’re taking the extra points with open arms.
The Knicks’ defense could limit the Bucks on offense, but the pace of the game could be slow, which favors the under significantly.
NBA Pick: Under 226½
