Washington Wizards at Milwaukee Bucks
Anytime you don’t have the same goals as your teammates in the NBA, games don’t always go your way. Lately, a lot of players in Washington have spoken out about their differences and it doesn’t sound too good.
Spencer Dinwiddie said he tried to be vocal about the team’s losing streak and lead, but it wasn’t greeted very well by other players.
Bradley Beal stepped up himself shortly afterward and made it clear that everybody on the team is playing under their own agenda.
This lack of chemistry is leading to an inefficient offense that is ranked 20th in the league. Beal has been their most consistent player, averaging 23.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 6.6 assists.
Washington desperately needs to figure something out in the locker room as things are pretty sour right now.
Offense Clicking for Bucks
Milwaukee may have only scored 100 points in the blowout loss to the Nuggets, but that was mostly an off night.
They are the sixth-highest scoring team in the league and have been banking off of the dominance of Giannis Antetokounmpo. He averages 28.8 points, 11.2 rebounds and 5.8 assists.
He is helped out by Khris Middleton, who scores 19.8 points, and Jrue Holiday (17.8). Defensively, it is clear that the Bucks are missing something.
They are 15th in the league in terms of points allowed per game and a good reason for that may be the absence of Brook Lopez. The veteran center had back surgery earlier in the year, which has left a bit of a gap in the rim-protection category.
Milwaukee is a fantastic team that can outscore anybody, but somebody needs to fill that gap in the paint on the defensive end.
Milwaukee Expected to Dominate
Milwaukee plays with a lot of chemistry on the floor and has a few tremendous offensive weapons to mask its defensive deficiencies at times.
On the other side of things, Washington has players fighting for their own minutes and it isn’t translating to good team play on the court.
The Bucks should win this game and with the way things are headed, they should be able to cover as well.
The over-under is set at 227 and over seems to be the way to go for NBA picks. The Bucks’ defense is so-so, which might help bettors get above the number.
