Milwaukee Bucks vs Phoenix Suns Betting Preview | Feb.10

The Milwaukee Bucks only trail the Philadelphia 76ers in the Eastern Conference and have won five straight games. Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo is gunning for his third consecutive regular season MVP award and his first NBA title. Milwaukee currently has the fourth-strongest NBA Championship odds, coming in at +600, with Phoenix at +3000.

The Phoenix Suns are sitting in fourth place in the Western Conference, and have won three straight games, and 6-of-7. Veteran PG Chris Paul has fit perfectly into Phoenix’s lineup and strategy. This matchup should prove to be extremely entertaining, and there is money to be made.

Milwaukee’s Best (Point Differential)

The Bucks lead the league in point differential, boasting an impressive +9.9. Milwaukee averages 121.3 PPG (also tops in the NBA), while allowing opponents an average score of 111.4. There’s no doubt that the terrible tandem of Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton lead a deadly offensive unit for the Bucks.

In Milwaukee’s most recent game vs the Denver Nuggets, Antetokounmpo and Middleton combined to score 59 points. Middleton almost achieved a triple-double, coming up just two rebounds shy of accomplishing that feat (29/8/12). It would have been the second triple-double of Middleton’s career. The Bucks trampled the Nuggets at home 125-112.

Phoenix Rising?

Phoenix is trending upward and is fighting to maintain home-court positioning for the playoffs. Budding superstar Devin Booker has intriguing players surrounding him, and the Suns are shining though they’ve been banged up. Booker dropped 36 points on the Cleveland Cavaliers in the most recent Suns’ victory, while snagging five boards and dishing eight assists.

Phoenix was down 91-89 entering the final frame, and the ramshackle group dug in deep at home. Despite playing without PG Chris Paul (hamstring) for the first time this year and missing Jae Crowder, the Suns prevailed. Phoenix engineered an admirable fourth-quarter comeback that ended with Cleveland on the wrong side of a 119-113 score.

Betting Forecast

Both teams are surging, but the Bucks have a more predictable pedigree. Milwaukee’s league-leading point-differential combined with the fact that Paul and Crowder are questionable for Phoenix spells trouble for the Suns. Smart money is on the Bucks to cover ATS, while extending their winning streak to six games.
