Cavaliers vs Heat Predictions, Odds and Picks Sunday, March 24

The Miami Heat should probably be in your NBA bets for tonight as they welcome the struggling Cleveland Cavaliers, who are once again without top scorer Donovan Mitchell.

The Heat have not been an easy team to predict at 33-36-1 ATS, but you can expect them to come out angry after a 111-88 loss at home against New Orleans on Friday. Miami is 3-6 in its last nine games.

Jimmy Butler scored 30 points as the Heat edged the Cavaliers 107-104 in Cleveland on Wednesday, giving them three wins in the past four of the series. Miami was a 3-point underdog in that contest.

Mitchell, who averages 27.4 points, is out with a nose fracture while center Evan Mobley (15.6 points) is questionable and guard Max Strus (12.2) is not expected to play. The Cavaliers have lost five of seven and sit third in the Eastern Conference. The Heat are tied for seventh.

Both teams are +1200 to win the East in the Las Vegas odds.

The Heat are a 4-point favorite in the NBA odds to hand the visiting Cavaliers their third consecutive defeat. Cleveland is a solid 21-13 on the road while Miami is a baffling 17-16 on its home court. Both teams have good records for under bettors and the number is currently set at 203 points.

Cavaliers vs Heat Spreads and Odds

  • Over bettors are 5-3 at the sportsbook in the last eight Cleveland games, but just 31-38-1 on the season.
  • Miami guard Terry Rozier is averaging 19 points in the last three games, draining 11-of-19 from 3-point range.
  • The under is 8-1 in the past nine Heat contests and 45-25 in 2023-24.
  • Under bettors are 5-0 in the last five games as a road underdog.
  • Miami has hit the fourth quarter game total under in 30 of its past 40 games.
  • Cleveland has hit the first half moneyline in 40 of the last 62 contests.
  • The Heat are 0-5 ATS in their last five home games.
  • Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen is averaging 21 points and 14 rebounds in his past three outings.

Over/Under Pick: Over 203 (-110)

While both teams have good records for under bettors, that rather low number should be beatable.

Pick ATS: Heat -4 -110)

The Heat have been very disappointing at home, but Butler, Rozier and Bam Adebayo (five double-doubles in his last six games) should lead a better effort than Friday.

Moneyline Pick: Heat (-175)

Darius Garland (19.5 points the last two) and Allen will have to get a lot of help for the Cavaliers to earn a road victory. We think the incentive level is much higher for a good Miami performance.

Player Prop: Butler 25+ points in Heat win (+211)

Butler burned the Cavaliers earlier this week and could be one of your best NBA prop bets today with an inspired effort at good value.

Score Prediction

Heat 108, Cavaliers 98: Tyler Herro (knee) and Duncan Robinson (back) will likely miss the game for Miami, but the Heat should have enough to stay above .500 at home and keep hopes alive for a top-six finish in the East.
