The Cleveland Cavaliers could pick off the host Minnesota Timberwolves this Saturday evening. Minnesota is on the second night of a back-to-back, while Cleveland is looking to bounce back from a humiliating defeat against Oklahoma City on Thursday night.
The NBA odds favor the visitors by six points for a reason as we’ll see based on NBA betting trends that Cleveland has numerous edges.

2 Best Picks for Cavaliers vs Timberwolves
1. Cavaliers -6 (-110)
Cleveland will win as the NBA pick against the spread (ATS) versus Minnesota. The Cavaliers have a significant offensive advantage.
Yes, Oklahoma City boat-raced Cleveland, but that shows how great the Thunder are. Minnesota’s offense has struggled all season and will continue to as the team plays with no rest.
Per the Cavaliers vs Timberwolves stats, Cleveland owns the top offensive rating in the NBA at 121.6, which is much higher than the Timberwolves’ at 112.8. They have also printed money as a road team this season.
Cleveland has covered six straight games as an away favorite and is 6-1 ATS in its last seven road matchups. On top of that, Cleveland is 12-1 when facing Western Conference opponents this season.

Minnesota, on the other hand, is just 2-3 ATS when playing without rest. The Timberwolves also do not have a significant homecourt advantage as they have failed to cover seven straight home games and are just 10-9 at the Target Center. Yes, they destroyed the Knicks on Friday night, but New York seems to be running out of gas and has lost six of its last nine games.
Cleveland should also be pissed off about losing in a highly-anticipated game vs Oklahoma City on Thursday. If we exclude Atlanta, which is the only team to beat Cleveland twice this season, the Cavaliers are 4-0 coming off a loss and have won each game by 10 or more points. Minnesota might be feeling itself after an emphatic win over New York.
Our bet online is on Cleveland to come out fresher and hungrier and beat the Wolves by at least seven points.
2. Timberwolves Under 110½ (-115)
We can bank on Cleveland to show up and get back into rhythm. But we can also trust Minnesota to be a bit flat and lag on offense.
The Timberwolves only average 110.5 points at home, which ranks 24th in the NBA. When they play without rest, they’ve scored 104 points or fewer in four of the last five games. Our NBA predictions include Minnesota to go under 110½ points in this contest.
The only time Minnesota went over 110.5 points at home without rest was against Portland, which has the 26th-ranked defensive rating (118). The Timberwolves have scored over 110 points in four straight games, but Cleveland’s defense is also nothing to sneeze at.
The Cavaliers have a 111.6 defensive rating, which ranks 10th in the NBA. And while the totals have gone over in 13 of the Cavaliers’ 18 road games, Minnesota’s games have gone under in four of its last five when facing Cleveland.

The only caveat here is Evan Mobley’s status for Cleveland. The star forward has a calf issue and is questionable to play. But should he get the green light, this will further bolster Cleveland’s defense, especially against Minnesota’s large frontcourt.
Bet against Minnesota’s team total going under while the online sports betting line is that high.
Bet on Timberwolves Under 110½ (-115)
