The Boston Celtics will try to win back-to-back nights as a road favorite on the NBA betting line when they visit the struggling Sacramento Kings on Monday.

The Celtics won their fifth straight and 10th in the last 11 games despite missing three key players on Sunday at Portland 129-116. Second-leading scorer Jaylen Brown is out for Boston, which is the favorite in the NBA future odds to win the Eastern Conference.

Sacramento has lost two in a row and six of eight to put its playoff hopes in jeopardy. However, the Kings may have a good chance to beat the road-weary Celtics if they can find the form that led to wins over Memphis and Cleveland at home last week.

Just a hunch that Boston will be low on gas after the win at Portland. Sacramento needs to finish strong to hold onto a playoff spot and will need big performances from Zach LaVine and Demar DeRozan. The Kings have depth. Devin Carter might not be prominent in the NBA Rookie of the Year odds, but he scored 16 in the win over East leader Cleveland.

LaVine is averaging almost 20 points in his career over 23 games against the Celtics and the Kings need a big one from him on Monday. LaVine has scored at least 20 in all but one win for Sacramento since arriving in a trade from Chicago.

Sacramento won 114-97 at Boston on Jan. 10 and may get the star of that game Domantas Sabonis (23 points, 28 rebounds) back from an ankle injury. The Kings should have DeRozan, LaVine and Keegan Murray to lead the way. It’s hard to figure NBA matchups on back-to-back nights, but this might be one to take a chance on.

The Sacramento Kings are listing Devin Carter (illness), Malik Monk (illness) and Domantas Sabonis (ankle) as questionable for Monday’s game against the Boston Celtics. Sabonis has made significant progress in his recovery and was a full participant in Sunday’s practice.

The two teams average over 233 points between them and that makes the over a solid NBA free pick unless there is a playoff atmosphere. If Porzingis joins Tatum and White in the lineup, Boston should be able to put up points with support from Sam Hauser (24 points Sunday) and Payton Pritchard (16 on Sunday).

DeRozan has scored at least 22 in six straight games and LaVine has averaged 21.7 since arriving in a trade. Kings guard Malik Monk (25.5 ppg last four) could also return from Illness while Keon Ellis is coming off a 20-point game.
