LA Looks to Level Season Series
Losing Streaks Accompany Both Teams
The Los Angeles Clippers have fought hard to keep their season alive despite losing both Paul George and Kawhi Leonard to injuries this year.
However, they have just dropped three straight games and six of their last eight. They haven’t been reliable if you bet online.

On Tuesday, they get to play a Denver Nuggets squad that just lost back-to-back games themselves. With both of these teams struggling for momentum, what’s the top option for NBA game betting purposes?
Let’s check the latest news, stats, injury reports, and NBA odds for Clippers vs Nuggets. We’ve plenty of predictions for you to consider.
Clippers: Next Man Up
It’s really hard to stay competitive in this league when superstars are unavailable. Somehow, the Los Angeles Clippers have been able to do just that.
Leonard and George remain out, Norman Powell hasn’t played in a few weeks and guards Jay Scrub and Jason Preston aren’t going to be playing in this spot either. Even so, they’re still competitive.
Reggie Jackson has taken over scoring responsibilities and will have to do so again. The guard is averaging 17.0 points, just above Marcus Morris with his 16.0 points.
Outside of these two, younger players like Terrance Mann and Luke Kennard will need to bring something to the table and create their own shots. This is a hard-nosed roster that doesn’t back down.
Reigning MVP Carrying Nuggets
Nikola Jokic has flat-out carried this team in every single category this season. The reigning MVP of the league leads Denver in points (26.1), rebounds (13.6), assists (8.0), steals (1.4) and blocks (0.8).
To further put his dominance into perspective, his box plus-minus per 100 possessions is at 13.9 right now. Michael Jordan’s best season ever was 13.0.
Jokic is having a year that none of us have ever seen from the center position, but he can’t do it alone. Denver crumbles when he isn’t on the floor, even if it is only for a few minutes.
This team needs somebody like Will Barton, Monte Morris or Bones Hyland to step up and take over offensively when their star player leaves the court.
The Nuggets really don’t want to burn out Jokic right before the playoffs.
Clippers vs Nuggets Head-to-Head
The Nuggets hold the lead in the season series against the Clippers. They won the first matchup by three points, lost the second by two and won the third by two.
All three of these previous contests have been decided by razor-thin margins.

Clippers vs Nuggets Prediction
The Nuggets are currently favored by 6½ points in the NBA lines heading into this matchup at home against the Clippers.
While they are obviously the more talented team on paper with Jokic on the roster, it seems like a large margin for a scrappy team like the Clippers.
Plus, we have to take into account that all three matchups between these squads this season have been decided by three points or less, with one going into overtime.
The Nuggets are likely to win this game with Jokic healthy and available, but the Clippers will cover the spread with their tough playstyle. Take them with your NBA picks here.
Pick: Los Angeles Clippers +6½
