For my NBA game predictions, I’ve got Denver pulling away late: Nuggets 114, Clippers 108.

With Denver looking to grab a 2-0 lead, they’ll need SF Michael Porter Jr. to score – which is why he’s my top NBA player props today to sink 3+ triples. The Nuggets’ sharpshooter was clearly on the Clippers’ to-do list, being held to just 1-of-2 from deep last game. Making note of that, I’m banking on Porter to come out hungry, get more touches, and let it fly every chance he gets.

Russell Westbrook Under 4.5 Assists (-157)
For more of my NBA picks tonight, I’m locking in PG Russell Westbrook to go under 4.5 assists. Not only has Westbrook hit the under in five of his last six, but Denver needs him to continue hunting for buckets again. After dropping 15 points last time out, I’m counting on Westbrook to stay aggressive, look for his one shot and keep the pressure on the Clippers’ defense.

Kris Dunn Over 6.5 Points (-121)
The Clippers’ scoring might be a wild card, but for my NBA picks, this is one practically gold: SG Kris Dunn to finish with over 6.5 points. Dunn has hit this in three of his last four, including 10 points in Game 1. Factor in Denver busy throwing bodies at James Harden and Kawhi Leonard, and Dunn should find himself wide open for a few layups and quick jumpshots – just like last time.

Los Angeles put up a good fight in Game 1, but like most NBA betting news, I’m backing the Nuggets for another win. It’s pretty simple – with L.A.’s defense already stretched thin trying to slow down C Nikola Jokic in the pick and roll, while trying to contain key role players around him, the odds are stacked against them. Take Denver on the moneyline and don’t overthink it.

With the NBA spread picks under a layup – I’m going with Denver plus the points. While I’m anticipating another back-and-forth game, it’s going to be Denver’s offensive depth that will be the difference-maker. The Clippers’ defense will do their thing and keep it tight, but with home court and a win already in the bank, I’m anticipating the Mile High City offense to overwhelm L.A.’s defense.
