Cross-Sport Parlay: Take a Flyer on These Playoff Matchups

We’re Talking About … Playoffs?!

It’s the best time of the year for sports fans: playoff season. The NHL is wrapping up the regular season while the NBA kicks off the first round on Saturday. On top of that, the XFL will also have a must-watch battle between playoff contenders. And there is the PFL tournament. There is plenty to parlay with the NBA picks this weekend.

Best Bets To Parlay This Weekend

NBA: Nets (+280) vs 76ers (-350)

  • Total: Over 216 (-110), Under 216 (-110)
  • Day/Time: Saturday, April 15, 1 p.m. ET
  • Stream: ESPN\

In what should be an academic win for Philadelphia, the 8½-point spread is a tad too high. But Philly should have no problems packing up Brooklyn. The Sixers have won four straight versus Brooklyn and are 3-1 against the spread (ATS) in this span. Philadelphia also covers 60% of its home spreads so add this bet online.

NBA: Knicks (+190) vs Cavaliers (-230)

  • Total: Over 215 (-110), Under 215 (-110)
  • Day/Time: Saturday, April 15, 6:00 p.m. ET
  • Stream: ESPN

The Cavaliers-Knicks series could hog NBA news this weekend because it has the makings of a classic. Both teams are defensive stalwarts with superstar guards Donovan Mitchell and Jalen Brunson. It’s a solid matchup for the Knicks who have won and covered three straight against Cleveland. On top of that, the Knicks are one of the best road dogs with a 60.7% cover rate.

NHL: Jets (+135) vs Avalanche (-160)

  • Total: Over 6 (-115), Under 6 (-105)
  • Day/Time: Thursday, April 13, 7 p.m. ET
  • Stream: Altitude

This is likely a first-round playoff matchup preview between Winnipeg and Colorado. While Colorado has been dominant when undermanned, the Jets have won three of their last four games against the Avalanche. Even if it’s David Rittich in the net, he’s due for a bounce-back game. The fired-up Jets will take it to the Avalanche so their puck line is worth betting on the NHL lines.

XFL: Sea Dragons (Ev) vs Battlehawks (-120)

  • Total: Over 46 (-110), Under 46 (-110)
  • Day/Time: Sunday, April 16, 3 p.m. ET
  • Stream: ESPN

The Sea Dragons and Battlehawks meet on Sunday in what could be the best game for the XFL this season. A playoff spot is on the line as St. Louis can clinch by defeating Seattle. Both of these teams also have potent passing offenses hence why the totals are the highest for Week 8. But it’s not high enough. Six of Seattle’s eight games have gone over the total. And this will, too.

PFL: Aubin-Mercier (-120) vs Burgos (-110)

  • Total: TBD
  • Weight Class (Rounds): Lightweight, 155 lbs. (3 Rounds)
  • Day/Time: Friday, April 14, 9:00 p.m. ET
  • Stream: ESPN+

The PFL debuts its lightweight tournament and former UFC contenders headline. The online sports betting odds are tight but they should lean toward Burgos. He is significantly better at striking than Aubin-Mercier and is a bigger fighter with a reach advantage. More notably, Burgos has elite takedown defense so he should keep the fight standing to outstrike OAM.
