Friday Best NBA Player Props: Bank on Kuminga, Davis

Thursday NBA Recap

On Thursday, the Washington Wizards shocked the Kings, winning outright as an 11-point underdog. The Orlando Magic continued solidifying their position as a playoff contender in the Eastern Conference with a massive win over a red-hot Pelicans team. Unfortunately, New Orleans’ Brandon Ingram suffered an apparent knee injury in the loss.

The Mavericks and Suns beat up on weaker opponents and have kept pace in the Western Conference standings. Meanwhile, the Nuggets cooled off the Knicks behind Nikola Jokic’s triple-double.

The playoff races are heating up across the NBA. There are plenty of NBA bets online to select from Friday night. Here are the best NBA player props tonight.

Best NBA Player Props Today

Thunder SF Jalen Williams Over 20½ Points (+110)

I searched near, far and everywhere in between for my best NBA bet on the Thunder tonight when they take on a tanking Raptors team. Oklahoma City travels north of the border to kick off a three-game road trip, and they are massive 15-point favorites. This point spread suggests a blowout. The starters could end up resting in the second half if that comes to fruition. I’m confident that Jalen Williams will continue to blossom and show off in a soft matchup.

J-Will is averaging 19.2 points this season and is over this line in seven of his last 10 healthy games. The Raptors are depleted. They are missing a laundry list of players, including Scottie Barnes, Jakob Poeltl, RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley and Chris Boucher. They don’t have the bodies to defend the athletic Williams. Toronto is allowing the most points per game to opposing small forwards. J-Will is a significant reason for OKC’s success and will excel in this matchup.

Warriors PF Jonathan Kuminga Over 20½ Points (+100)

I’m eyeing another budding forward with our second NBA bet tonight, Jonathan Kuminga. I expect Kuminga to be a popular name tonight among NBA online bets, but I’m sticking with him. He has averaged 19.5 points since the All-Star break, a significant bump from 15.5 prior. JK is over this line in five of his last six games. In the first meeting with the Pacers, he finished with 18 points, second on the team behind Steph Curry, who knocked down 11 threes.

The Pacers have one of the most generous defenses in the league. They allow the third-most points per game, and the total for this matchup is sky-high at 240½ points. Indiana allows the most points per game to opposing power forwards. The Pacers allow the most points in the paint, and Kuminga scores over 60% of his points in the paint. Count on Kuminga’s breakout to continue.

Lakers PF Anthony Davis Over 24½ Points (-113)

Hold on to your hats. I’m predicting an Anthony Davis masterclass this weekend, starting with tonight’s matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers. The Lakers host the 76ers and are seven-point favorites. Without Joel Embiid, the 76ers lack the size on the interior to defend someone of Davis’ caliber. He finished with just 17 points in the previous meeting this season, and Philly crushed LA 138-94. I’m expecting the Lakers to be out for revenge.

We have to go all the way back to 2020 for the last time Davis faced the Sixers without Embiid. In two games without the reigning MVP, Davis scored 31 and 37 points. Philadelphia is giving up the seventh-most points per game to opposing centers, and that number continues to climb every night without Embiid to protect the paint. The 76ers are getting bullied near the rim and allow the fourth-most free-throw attempts per game. Davis is in the top ten in free throws per game. Bank on The Brow to dominate.
