Friday’s NBA Player Props 3/1: Zion to Soar

The NBA delivered more memorable moments during Thursday’s action. We cashed three of our four NBA predictions for another profitable day, and I’m back breaking down Friday’s nine-game slate, looking to cash a sweep with my basketball bets online today.

Thursday NBA Recap

On Thursday, Steph Curry hit eight 3-pointers to lead the Warriors to a win over the New York Knicks at MSG. The Bucks cruised past the Hornets to remain undefeated after the All-Star break.

Friday’s NBA Player Props 3/1: Zion to Soar

The third edition of the rivalry between Victor Wembanayama and Chet Holmgren did not disappoint. The Spurs upset OKC 132-118 behind a massive game from Wemby, who is accomplishing new feats in the history of the NBA.

Out West, the Nuggets held off the Heat in an NBA Finals rematch, and the Lakers survived overtime to defeat the Wizards.

The standings out West will be a constant battle over the final month and a half.

Things are heating up as the calendar turns to March. There are plenty of NBA player prop bets to select from Friday night, so let’s not waste more time. Here are the best NBA player props tonight.

Best NBA Player Props Today

1. Pelicans PF Zion Williamson Over 24½ Points (-114)

The Pelicans return home and host the Indiana Pacers on Friday night. New Orleans lost on the road in Indiana on Wednesday, making this an immediate revenge spot and one of my top NBA point-spread bets today. Indiana has the second-best Adjusted Offensive Rating in the NBA (119.9), so the Pelicans need to put up points to keep pace. Zion Williamson scored 23 points in the loss while Brandon Ingram led the way in scoring for New Orleans with 30 points.

I expect both stars to have big nights again and Williams to lead the way. The Pacers are a dream matchup for Williamson, who scores a team-high 77.7% of his points in the paint. Indiana gets eviscerated at the rim night in and night out, allowing the most points in the paint per game (59.9). The Pacers also allow their opponents to get to the free throw line the most in the NBA, and Williamson scores 20.5% of his points from the stripe. I can’t talk you off backing Ingram in this spot, but I’m rolling with the big fella to fly high tonight!

2. Bucks PG Damian Lillard Over 2½ 3-Pointers Made (-141)

It’s Friday night, so I’m cool sipping on this juice with this NBA betting line. It’s a bit surprising to get this low number on Damian Lillard’s threes, so I’m jumping on tonight. We have some added risk because the Bucks are playing on the second night of a road back-to-back. This game in Chicago is strangely scheduled to tip off a couple of hours later than usual, so maybe that will give the Bucks some extra time for travel. This is an ESPN game, so I expect Milwaukee to be up for it.

The Bucks are finally putting things together after a rocky period. The Bulls are in the bottom half of the league in opponent 3-point percentage and face the most 3-point attempts per game. As you would expect, they allow the most 3-pointers made per game. Lillard has had three woeful shooting games against the Bulls this season, shooting 1 of 9, 1 of 6 and 2 of 9 from three. He’s made at least three shots from downtown in three straight. I will trust that Lillard’s historic All-Star weekend turned around his season and confidence.

3. 76ers SG Buddy Hield Over 13½ Points (-114)

This is a buy-low spot on Buddy Hield. The 76ers host the Hornets, who are playing on the second night of a back-to-back. Since being traded to Philadelphia, Hield has gone over this line in six of eight games. He missed in his previous two games but that came against the Celtics and Bucks. De’Anthony Melton is out tonight, so Hield will likely be on the floor for at least 30 minutes. He’s over this line in all six games he’s played at least 30 minutes with the Sixers.

Excluding his last game with Indiana, when he played just 12 minutes, he has gone over this line in 14 consecutive meetings with the Hornets. Charlotte is allowing the fifth-most catch-and-shoot 3-pointers and the fifth-most threes per game overall, so I expect Hield to fly over this number in front of the Philly faithful.
