Golden State Warriors at Los Angeles Lakers Game Preview, Odds, Picks & Predictions
Lakers and Warriors Look To Snap Negative Trends
The Golden State Warriors are riding a three-game losing streak. The Los Angeles Lakers are riding a four-game losing streak. Neither side, as it so happens, is in good shape ahead of Saturday’s Western Conference showdown, but the NBA odds are cornered with the Warriors at the expense of their hosts. Does the market have it right? Will the Warriors come through as the firm road favorites or will the Lakers finally get it together and clinch a desperately needed win?
Warriors Lose 3 Straight
The Golden State Warriors are in the midst of their worst stretch. Not only have they lost three straight games, but they’ve also lost 7 of their last 10.

The Warriors are coming off a loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night, losing 122-113 on the road. It marked their second loss to the Mavericks after suffering a 107-101 loss at home on February 27. Sandwiched between those was a 129-114 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on the road.

The Warriors struggled against Luka Doncic and the Mavericks in the lopsided defeat, failing to come through for NBA picks against the spread as the 1½-point closing underdogs in the loss. Doncic had his way with the Warriors on the way to a 40-point triple-double performance.
Stephen Curry managed merely 21 points, five rebounds, and nine assists. Jordan Poole led the team with 23 points, three rebounds, and two assists while Andrew Wiggins had 17 points, five rebounds, and assists.
The Warriors are 30-29-4 ATS with a 6.6 winning margin on average and a +1.2 differential versus the spread. On the road, the Warriors are 13-15-2 with a 1.5 winning margin on average and a -0.3 differential versus the spread/
Lakers Drop 4r
The Los Angeles Lakers are in a bit of a freefall, slipping to a 27-35 record and ninth place in the Western Conference standings. They’re merely two points clear of the 11th-placed Portland Trail Blazers and a spot outside of the playoff frame.
Four straight losses have seen the Lakers slip to a woeful 2-8 record in their last 10 games. It’s their most shocking run of form on the season and a real cause for concern. Indeed, the frustration is threatening to spill over.

Warriors vs LA Lakers Betting Lines
Warriors vs LA Lakers Prediction
The Los Angeles Lakers entered the season as the top favorites in betting online markets to emerge from the Western Conference. But as the season begins to wind down, they’ll be lucky to make the cut, never mind compete. The Golden State Warriors were among those to be favored in NBA Championships futures too. Unlike the Lakers, they’re in contention despite their recent dip in form.
Given that form is up in the air between these familiar foes, it’s anybody’s guess which side steps up at the Staples Center. That makes this a tossup for online sports betting picks.
The Lakers have a home advantage, which could be a factor. However, as this season’s shocking underachievers, it’s hard to buy what they’re selling. It will take a brave bettor or a diehard Lakers fan to back them with any confidence. The rumors that surround coach Frank Vogel and have his job on the line, as well as Russell Westbrook’s antics only add to this feeling of uncertainty and doubt.
As such, Golden State feels like the better bet here. The Warriors might not be winning right now, but they’ve lost to a couple of good teams while playing well enough.
