Memphis Routed Golden State to stay alive
Game 5 Was A Blowout
The Golden State Warriors entered Game 5 with a chance to eliminate the Memphis Grizzlies.
Unfortunately, they weren’t able to “whoop that trick” as Steph Curry had promised. Memphis came into this without its star point guard, Ja Morant. It didn’t matter, as the Grizzlies dominated from the very beginning.

It ended in a Memphis mauling, 134-95. one of the more shocking results of the season. Golden State shouldn’t have much to worry about. They still lead the series, 3-2.
However, they’ll want to take care of business at home and avoid traveling back to Tennessee for a deciding Game 7. If you’re looking at the NBA betting odds for this one, what’s the best side for those who bet online?

Grizzlies Aren’t Ready To Bow Out Yet
It wasn’t even close in Game 5, obvious that Memphis Grizzlies weren’t ready to just say goodbye to their season. Even without Morant, the rest of the team came together in the rout. All of their starters finished with a plus-minus figure of at least +32.
Three of the five starters eclipsed the 20-point plateau, and seven Grizz registered double-figure points. They couldn’t possibly can’t get a better all-around performance than what Memphis was able to deliver in Game 5.
Obviously, getting Morant back would be the best news for the Grizzlies. Even without him, however, they should have confidence. They did lead at Golden State in Game 4 with less than a minute to go. Maybe they can do it again, only this time finish it.
Warriors Weren’t Ready
It looked like Golden State Warriors thought they could stroll to a win in Game 5. They weren’t fully prepared ,and Memphis punched them early. The Warriors just could not recover.
Steph Curry only had 14 points, Klay Thompson had 19 and Jordan Poole managed just three. Shooting wasn’t their only problem, though; and the 22 turnovers did not help.
Golden State has choked a few 3-1 series leads in past seasons. It isn’t totally out of the question that they’re just feeling the pressure of putting away a team without their star.
This is just one reason why you should never overlook an opponent in the playoffs.
Grizzlies vs Warriors Head-to-Head
Memphis has won five out of the nine games against Golden State this season. However, both teams have had major absences along the way.

Grizzlies vs Warriors Prediction
Golden State is currently listed as eight-point favorites in the sportsbook. However, their last game didn’t give anyone confidence that they can cover the NBA odds here.
If we are looking at a probable winner, then the Warriors are the correct pick to make due to their experience and star power with Curry and Thompson.
Against the spread, however, the Grizzlies better choice here. Memphis will be fighting for its season, and they’ve proven they can survive and thrive without Morant.
