Celtics Continue Winning Run

The Boston Celtics are starting to show form worthy of the playoffs and they look to extend their winning run against the Charlotte Hornets.

NBA betting markets have posted the Celtics as 3½-point favorites to win at home, which is a fair line given their recent success.

Charlotte Hornets vs Boston Celtics

Hornets Buzzing

There is nothing wrong with the recent form of the Charlotte Hornets, who improved to 24-20 with a 97-87 win over the New York Knicks.

They have won four of their last five games, including consecutive games over the NBA defending champions Milwaukee Bucks. Those wins came at home, but they followed them up with a stellar 109-98 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Losing to Orlando was out of character, but bettors have faith in the Hornets and it’s not hard to see why.

They are 27-17 against the spread, which is one of the better records in the NBA. The sportsbook has taken plenty of action for the Hornets over the last few weeks, and the +3½ line is inviting.

Leading the way for the Hornets is Miles Bridges. The small forward averages 20 points and 7.3 rebounds, which is what they need to be competitive in the Eastern Conference.

Bridges needs a big game against the Celtics, as keeping up with Tatum and Brown can prove difficult. However, if he gets help from LaMelo Ball, Charlotte will be tough to stop.

Going against the Hornets is their record in Boston. They are 1-9-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Boston.

Celtics Fighting Back

The Boston Celtics could have shut up shop after a terrible start, but they’re digging deep and fighting back.

They improved to 23-22 with wins over Chicago and New Orleans, which should give them a confidence boost. They have won four of their last five, and despite covering the spread in only two of those games, they’re playing well.

Covering spreads has proven difficult at 22-22-1, but bettors should expect the Celtics to continue producing the goods. They have the roster to make a deep run and beating teams like Chicago will take them close.

Robert Williams III was inspirational in the win over the Bulls, hitting two late free throws to seal the deal.

It’s a moment everybody in this league wants and waits for. I’m glad I made them,” Williams said. “I’m glad my teammates had my back. It boosted my confidence.”

Boston’s recent dominance over the Hornets at home is a positive. It’s reflected in betting online markets, and for a team that is just above .500, the line is hefty.

However, the Celtics have their tails up and they have the roster to beat any team in the NBA.

Back Celtics for Win

Betting against the red-hot Hornets isn’t easy, but we always have faith in the Celtics’ ability at home.

The lethal combination of Tatum and Brown is better than most duos in the NBA, so they can carry the Celtics to victory over their Eastern Conference rivals.

Taking -3½ is a tricky line, but we expect the Celtics to start strong, which could force the likes of Ball and Bridges to chase the game, and that could be their downfall.

Lock in the Celtics to continue their fine form.
