Jazz vs Trail Blazers Same Game Parlay Picks for Dec. 6
1. Portland Trail Blazers ATS (-2.5)
Let’s clear the air – this isn’t a Western Conference game that’s going to have anyone calling their cable provider to make sure their NBA League Pass is working. But when it comes to making money, I’m taking the Portland Trail Blazers laying the points at home against a Jazz team that’s missing some key pieces.
The Jazz will be without PG Jordan Clarkson (per updated Jazz vs. Trail Blazers injuries) (15.0 points per game) and F Kyle Filipowski (7.3 points per game). Meanwhile, the Blazers are coming into this one healthy and led by their SG duo of Shaedon Sharpe, who’s putting up 17.8 points per game, and Anfernee Simons, adding 16.7 points per game. Add in C Deandre Ayton, who’s just shy of a double-double with 14.8 points and 9.8 rebounds per game, and you’ve got a Blazers squad that can outscore a depleted Jazz team with no problem.

Let’s not sugarcoat it – these teams are turnover disasters. The Jazz lead the league with 17.5 turnovers per game, while the Blazers are right behind them at 16.3. However, here’s the thing: Portland has the offensive weapons to overcome their mistakes, while Utah simply doesn’t. The Jazz are also an awful 2-8 on the road this season, compared to Portland’s solid 5-5 record at home. Adding to that, when it comes to covering the spread, the Blazers thrive in division games, covering 60% of the time.
What does that tell you? The Jazz are outmatched offensively, especially without Clarkson, and the Trail Blazers know how to take care of business at Moda Center.
Bet on Portland to cover the NBA spread tonight.

2. Jazz PF Lauri Markkanen 3+ Threes (-118)
The Portland Trail Blazers should handle business at home against a depleted Jazz team, but don’t count out my last NBA betting prediction: Lauri Markkanen. The 7-foot forward leads Utah with 19.2 points per game, and though he’s coming off a quiet 13-point, 1-of-6 shooting performance, the Finnish big man will look to bounce back.

With Jordan Clarkson sidelined, Markkanen will have more touches and opportunities to step up and take charge of the offense. While he’s not likely to go “Steph Curry mode” with seven or eight 3-pointers, hitting at least three is a strong bet. Utah’s offense is struggling, and Markkanen is the key to keeping them competitive in Portland.
Bet This Pick: Lauri Markkanen 3+ Threes (-118)
