It was a feel-good win for Detroit in Game 2. But it was a disaster for the Knicks, who lost home-court advantage and now face more pressure heading to Detroit for Game 3. The NBA game odds see this one as a pick’em with both teams having an equal shot at winning. We’ll take it as we estimate New York to have an edge despite Monday’s results.

Knicks vs Pistons Prediction

Detroit now has home-court advantage, but we don’t feel this factor as much. The Pistons are only 15-11 at home against conference opponents. The Knicks are 17-9 as visitors. On top of that, New York should be hungrier to bounce back and won’t have to disappoint New Yorkers. This is an edge of sorts and impacts our NBA betting analysis.

Knicks vs Pistons Best NBA Player Props Today

  • Pistons F Ausar Thompson Under 17.5 Pts+Reb+Ast (-125)

Ausar Thompson is a rising star, but this series hasn’t been kind to him. While he averages 10 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists at home, his numbers—and efficiency—have dipped through the first two games. Against a tough playoff opponent, this isn’t the ideal matchup for him to shine. He’s a fade when it comes to our NBA expert prop picks for Game 3.

  • Knicks C Karl-Anthony Towns Over 22.5 Points (-118)

Speaking of underwhelming, Karl-Anthony Towns choked in Game 2. There is no way around it. But the Dominican is far too talented to have another poor showing. That’s why we’re backing him to score over 21.5 points. He’s gone over that mark in three of his last four playoff games while he puts up 24.6 on the road this season.

  • Knicks G/F Josh Hart 27.5+ Reb+Ast (-125)

Josh Hart was also exposed in the last few games. He is not a star player and is not capable of producing as such. But he’s still one of our NBA bets to go over 16 combined rebounds and assists. The grinder knows how to get boards and is a key distributor with the playmaking-starved Knicks.

Knicks vs Pistons Total Pick

Calling this matchup has been tough. But one thing has stayed consistent: totals going over. Five of the last seven have gone over their totals. Still, we’ll go against that as we did in their final regular-season game. These teams play hard-nosed defense and can be offensively challenged. Bet the under.

Knicks vs Pistons ML Pick

This series is a doozy as the NBA futures odds indicate. Even Knicks backers will be sweating given how the last game went. Detroit is a deeper team, as evidenced by its bench outscoring New York in both games. It also has more scoring sources, whereas New York can get too reliant on Jalen Brunson.

But we’re also big believers in grit and experience. Detroit is mature for its age, but is still less experienced than New York. The Knicks will find a way to win this next game, as we expect Towns and the starters to have better performances. It will be ugly, but the Knicks’ moneyline is our NBA pick today.

Bet on Knicks ML (-120)
