After four group-play games, the Quarterfinals of the Emirates NBA Cup have been set. In the East, the Milwaukee Bucks finished as the top seed and will face an injury-riddled Orlando Magic. NBA betting predictions will lean toward the Bucks because of the Magic’s health, but this will still be an interesting matchup.
Despite being without their top two scorers, the Magic pulled off a great 115-110 win over the Phoenix Suns. That kept Magic undefeated at home through 10 games. They were in the East: Group A, finishing with a 3-1 record and a point differential of 45, earning a Wild Card spot.
This season has had many ups and downs for the Bucks, but going undefeated in the East: Group B, with a point differential of 50, is a highlight. They also won in their last game, beating the Brooklyn Nets 118-113, leading to BetUS Sportsbook backing them against the Magic.

Magic vs Bucks: 2 Best NBA Bets Today
1. Milwaukee Bucks ATS -7.5
Early in the 2024-25 season, the Magic were one of the highlights for NBA news. This team plays fantastic defense and has a young core. The Magic allow the fewest points per game (103.3) and have the third-best defensive rating (106.3). However, the issue has been scoring, only averaging 107.6 points per game, which ranks 26th in the league.
The good thing is that the Magic had a plan to counteract their poor offense. They have two offensive studs, PaoloBanchero and Franz Wagner. Now, the only issue is that both players have suffered oblique injuries. Banchero has only played five games this season, averaging 29 points per game, but has seen the court since November 11.
That led to Wagner taking on a more prominent role in the offense, and he flourished. He is averaging 24.4 points per game this season and 27.6 in the previous 16 games, where the Magic were 13-3 before facing the Suns.

The Magic faced the Suns for the first time this season without Wagner and Banchero, winning somehow, which could affect NBA picks today. Jalen Suggs had a great game with 26 points, while Goga Bitadze added 21 and 16 rebounds, dominating the paint.
The only issue is that the Suns are also dealing with their own injury issues, and the Magic were home. This game against the Bucks will be on the road, facing a motivated team wanting to use the NBA Cup to turn around their season. The Bucks will win this game big and move on to the Semifinals.

2. Magic vs Bucks Under 213.5
This game has a chance to hit the under for some good reasons. The first is the Magic. They are arguably one of the best defenses in the league this season. Missing Wagner and Banchero will only lead to the Magic leaning more on their defensive identity, which will be tough for opponents.
However, with the absence of Wagner and Banchero, there is a lot of uncertainty about the Magic’s offense, hurting their chance to cover the NBA spread. Sure, Suggs stepped up in the last game, but that was at home, against a Suns defense that doesn’t scare anyone.
That is entirely different when looking at the Bucks. While the Bucks’ defensive stats could be better, they still have Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez, two elite players defending the paint. Given that the Magic shoot 31.1% from three, it is hard to imagine they change that in this game.
Giannis Antetokounmpo DID IT ALL for the Bucks in their win over the Nets 😤

Then there is the Bucks offense. Yes, Antetokounmpo is having a great offensive season, leading the league in scoring (32.5), and Damian Lillard just had his streak of six straight games of at least 25 points. But after that, there is little to be excited about. Khris Middleton has played in two games with 11 points in each, shooting 27.8% from the field.
The Magics’ offense will have trouble in this game. Then, the Bucks’ offense is not good enough to carry this game toward the over for NBA betting, leading it to hit the under.
Bet This Pick: Magic vs Bucks Under 213.5
Questions of the Day
Who is going to lead this game in scoring?
It is hard to bet against the league’s leader in points per game, Antetokounmpo.
Is there a player prop bet to back?
If any player on the Magic will have a good game, it has to be Suggs, with the lack of options outside of that.
