Warriors Still Slumping
The Golden State Warriors headed to the All-Star break having lost four of their last five games. Now back from the weeklong hiatus, the Warriors are still skidding. This time, Golden State has dropped two of their last three. Looking at the big picture, the Warriors have been unable to beat any good teams.
The team’s last win over an opponent with a .500 record or better came on Jan. 27 when it beat the Minnesota Timberwolves. Since then, Golden State has gone 0-5 against winning teams (not counting the injury-plagued Brooklyn Nets) and its record as favorites has dropped to 24-22-4 against the spread (ATS).
Golden State just has not been the same losing Draymond Green. The Warriors are 13-10 since he was lost to a long-term injury. Stephen Curry has been “okay” without Green, but it’s clear that the Warriors are not the same juggernaut it used to be on the online sports betting lines.

It was a rough start to the season for the Dallas Mavericks. Luka Doncic was dealing with injuries and the team was just 17-18 heading into 2022. But something clicked in Dallas, namely the offense, and the team has then won 20 of its 27 games in the new year.

Jason Kidd has the team playing lock-down defense. Dallas’s defense has been top-five for most of the year. But it’s the improving offense that is making them elite again. The team started the year ranked 27th in offensive rating and finished February ranked ninth. If it can continue to merge efficient offense with shut-down defense, Dallas is worth every bet online.
