Mavs-Wolves Game 2 Props: It’s All About Anthony Edwards

We are focusing on Anthony Edwards ahead of Game 2 between the Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday.

The Timberwolves superstar needs a bounce back game after disappointing in Game 1, and we think he’ll be the best player on the floor.

NBA prop odds are available for the big game at Target Center.

Edwards Picked to Pick Up Points

Edwards scored only 19 points in Game 1, which is well below what we expected from him.

The 22-year-old has a season average of 25.9 points, so it was a big dip on form. However, he gets a chance to redeem himself on Friday night.

He should have a much better game, and playing in front of the home fans only adds to our confidence levels.

The current NBA prop line is 25+ points and Minnesota to win, which pays -120. That’s a fair line from our sportsbook, as he could go for around 30 points.

The Timberwolves need Edwards to score buckets. If he doesn’t, they don’t have much chance of evening the series.

“Jaden (McDaniels) was the only one that came ready to play tonight,” Edwards said, “and I think everyone else let him down.”

Excellent Value From 3-Point Land

Bettors get +104 for Edwards to score three 3-pointers and Minnesota win.

That’s excellent value considering the All Star landed five 3-pointers in the 108-105 loss in Game 1.

Despite his shooting numbers not being impressive, he was good from behind the line. He made 5 of 12, which is where the majority of his points came from.

He’s one of the more streaky 3-point shooters in the NBA, so if he makes one early, expect Edwards to score many more than three.

We think this is one of the best NBA props for Game 2, and we don’t have much doubt about Minnesota winning the game. It had every chance to win the opener before giving up a late lead.

We can’t see the Timberwolves making the same mistake, so include this pick in your NBA selections.

Going for Maximum Value

The best thing about props is that they can pay big odds, and we’re going for a big play with Edwards.

Our sportsbook offers +600 odds for Edwards to score 26-28 points, and we can’t turn down those odds.

It’s not an easy prop bet to land, but we expect Edwards to score around that mark, and it’s at least worth a small nibble.

After scoring 19 points, he’s a much better scoring game. Scoring over 28 points could be tough, so we like the 26-28 option.

If you want to cover 29-31, it pays +600 as well. Backing both options isn’t a bad strategical play, and the odds are warranted.

Go Big or Go Home! +5500 Parlay

Why not go for broke? We have picked a +5500 same-game parlay, which could line the pockets nicely.

It includes Edwards recording 35+ points, 9+ assists, 10+ rebounds, and Minnesota -5½.

We know we said Edwards is likely to score fewer than 30 points, but there is every chance he has a massive game.

He’s one of two players capable on the floor to score a big total, the other being Luka Doncic, and the odds are too juicy to pass up.

Scoring close to a triple-double isn’t beyond the realm of possibility, and the Mavericks’ defense could have a night off.

We are confident in the Timberwolves covering the spread, so that’s the least of our worries with this +5500 parlay.
