Suns Look to Set Tone in NBA Finals
Game 1 Offers Plenty of Prop Values
Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns will look to get off to a positive start when they host the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 1 of the 2021 NBA Finals on Tuesday night. More importantly, there’s a bunch of NBA betting odds value in the BetUS online sportsbook when it comes to Game 1. I’ve highlighted three of the most value-packed props odds picks on the board.
Milwaukee Bucks at Phoenix Suns
When: Tuesday, 9 p.m. ET
Where: Staples Center, Los Angeles
TV: ABC
Radio: ESPN RadioKMVP 98.7 / S: KSUN620 AM/103.3 FM WTMJ
NBA Odds
Milwaukee Bucks +5½
Phoenix Suns -5½
Game 1 Total: 218
NBA Team Total Odds
Milwaukee Bucks 106½
Phoenix 112
Analysis: Milwaukee led the NBA in scoring, but Phoenix is playing lock-down defense coming into the Finals. The Suns put the clamps on the Clippers in the Western Conference finals by limiting Los Angeles to 106 points or less four times. I like the final score in Game 1 to end up Phoenix 108, Milwaukee 102. Yep, sounds about right to me.
The under is 9-3-1 in the Bucks’ last 13 road games against. a team with a winning home record and 9-4 in Milwaukee’s last 13 games as an underdog. The under is 8-3 in the Suns’ last 11 games playing on three or more days’ rest.
Winning Margin
Suns To Win By 3-6 Points +500
Bucks to Win By 1-2 Points +1100
Analysis: I like Phoenix to win by somewhere between 3-6 points but they may not cover the chalk as 5½-point home favorites. The Suns are 10-3 against the spread in their last 13 games, but I’m not feeling a six-point win in Game 1.
If Milwaukee does somehow manage to pull off the upset in Game 1, which I’m definitely not expecting, I’m thinking it’s going to be an extremely narrow upset. I’m going with Phoenix for the narrow win in Game 1.
First Half Race To 30 Points
Bucks +140
Suns -190
Neither +10000
Analysis: Led by what will undoubtedly be a raucous home crowd and a ton of adrenaline, Phoenix is the pick to get out to the early lead. I can’t imagine the Suns falling into an early hole as they look to set the tone for this series and deliver an early message to their NBA Finals opponents. This pick is simple. Phoenix gets to 30 points before Milwaukee. It’s that simple.
