With Week 14 of the 2020-21 NBA regular season on tap, it’s time to find out which teams are consistently covering the NBA sportsbook betting spread. With the Top-5 ATS teams in the league virtually unchanged for several weeks, the time to strike is now. The coming week of basketball action brings a great chance to keep the good times rolling, with one exception. Let’s find out why right now in our NBA ATS betting best.
5. Chicago Bulls (24-17 ATS)
The Chicago Bulls (19-22 SU) are back in the Top-5 after going 3-1 ATS and 2-2 SU in four games last week. Chicago covered the spread twice as a favorite and once as an underdog as the New York Knicks fell out of the Top-5. The Bulls covered the spread at home twice and on the road once. Zach LaVine scored 29 points or more three times while dropping 40 on the Oklahoma City Thunder. Chicago ranks 12th in scoring (114.0 PPG) and eight in both, field goal shooting percentage (48.1%) and three-point shooting (38.0%).
4. San Antonio Spurs (23-16 ATS)
After a perfect 4-0 ATS week, the San Antonio Spurs (22-17) are back in the Top-5 and the Memphis Grizzlies are out. The Spurs beat Detroit, Chicago and Cleveland before losing to the Milwaukee Bucks 120-113 on Saturday. San Antonio covered the ATS NBA Odds twice as a favorite and twice as an underdog. The Spurs might not have a superstar on their roster, but they are playing solid defense this season. San Antonio ranks eighth in points allowed (110.4 PPG) and has a whopping eight players averaging double figures in scoring.
3. Philadelphia 76ers (24-17-2 ATS)
Philly (30-13) remained in third place in the ATS standings for the second straight week by winning three of four and going 2-1-1 ATS. Even without all-star center Joel Embiid, Philadelphia has looked very dangerous. The Sixers have gone a consistent 7-1-1 ATS over their last nine. The Philadelphia 76ers rank an impressive sixth in scoring (115.1 PPG) and seventh in points allowed (109.7 PPG).
2. Utah Jazz (26-15 ATS)
A week ago, I openly wondered whether things were about to start falling apart for the Utah Jazz (30-11). After going 2-2 SU and 1-3 ATS in four games last week, Donovan Mitchell and company look like a wobbly fighter to me. Be careful with your ATS wagers on Utah moving forward. The Jazz have gone a disturbing 1-6 ATS over their last seven games. If the odds look like a risky proposition, right now, you might want to bet against the Jazz.
1. Phoenix Suns (25-12 ATS)
Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns (25-12) are no longer a novelty or surprise in the loaded Western Conference. After going 3-1 SU and ATS, Phoenix is now in sole possession of first place in the ATS standings. The Suns beat Memphis by 23 and the Lakers by 17 to start and end their week. Phoenix split a pair of games with the Minnesota Timberwolves in between. The Suns have gone a bankroll-boosting 8-2 ATS over their last 10 games. Phoenix ranks 11th in scoring (114.1 PPG) and a stellar third in points allowed (107.5 PPG). The Suns are 11-3 ATS over their last 14 games and 17-4 ATS over their last 21. Numbers like those should prompt you to start backing the Suns right now if you haven’t for the last few weeks.
