Parlay Triple Dog Attack
Scouring a busy Friday, February 26, slate for the NBA, I couldn’t find much value on stacking chalk for our NBA betting parlay. So I went the other way for a lottery play on three underdogs all to win straight-up for a lucrative return.

Heat Stamp Signature Win over Jazz
Miami has been on a roll since F Jimmy Butler returned going 9-5 and winning their last four. They’ve won two of their last three as underdogs and have the right tools to give the Jazz a run for their money, despite what analytics say.
Four of Utah’s six losses came against elite offenses this season. Their opponents averaged 44 percent from deep and 25 assists to just 11 turnovers. Miami just happens to be the best team at facilitating offense with a league-leading 67.9 assist percent.
The Heat also have a glut of three-point threats throughout its lineup and a rugged set of perimeter defenders. Last but not least, C Bam Adebayo can outplay C Rudy Gobert on both ends of the floor.
This has enough potential for a statement win from Miami.
Pick: Miami Heat to win
Hornets Edge the Warriors in a Gunfight
Charlotte has quickly asserted itself as a must-watch and a must-bet as an underdog. With a 12-12 record as an underdog, the Hornets have busted favorites including the Warriors in their first meeting.
The litmus test for their opponents is their interior presence. Charlotte struggles against teams with an elite post defender, but they can excel against teams without one. The Warriors don’t have much in the middle, and will need to rely on team defense and better shooting to outdo Charlotte.
Statistically, the two teams are close to each other, both hitting around 14 three-pointers per game at around a 38% clip. Golden State owns the edge of having the best shooter in Steph Curry, but the Hornets have better depth overall.
Guards Malik Monk and Terry Rozier have emerged as consistent shooting threats with the latter averaging 24.8 points on 50-40-90 shooting stats for the month. And then there’s rookie sensation LaMelo Ball who is a game-changer.
Even if Curry goes nuclear, Charlotte has enough firepower of their own to sweep the season series against Golden State.
Pick: Charlotte Hornets to win
Blazers Pile on the Lakers
Take Portland here as a pack of hyenas looking to prey on the wounded lion that is Los Angeles. Both teams have lost a combined seven in a row and dropped 1-6 against the spread. But Portland is set to bounce back in a bigger way, as the Lakers just look tired.
With injuries on both sides, missing Anthony Davis will impact the Lakers more as they lose their best defensive player who could help contain a potentially streaky Blazers offense.
Portland has a sizable shooting edge, averaging better percentages overall plus hitting at least six more three-pointers per game. They’re also one of the NBA’s most efficient teams at moving the ball, averaging just 11 turnovers compared to L.A.’s 15.
LeBron James continues to play at a high level, but that’s mostly on the offensive side. Since losing Davis, the Lakers have dropped to 13th in defensive rating and 23rd in rebounding percent.
The Blazers have their own defensive flaws, but their offense is too good not to exploit the hurting Lakers right now.
Pick: Portland Trail Blazers to win
Parlay: Heat to win, Hornets to win, and Blazers to win
Enjoy some late night NBA games with a potential to win a payout as big as Gobert. Alternatively, you can bet each underdog individually and still receive a considerable return. But if you’re feeling lucky, throw lunch money on this.
