2025 NBA Draft Odds: Plenty of Chaos

The 2025 NBA Draft can be labeled the “Cooper Flag Draft” because it’s obvious (like -50000 to bet on NBA odds) he’s going first overall. Dylan Harper is also a no-brainer for the second overall pick behind Flagg. However, it becomes highly intriguing starting with the third overall pick, which is favored (-225) to be VJ Edgecombe from Baylor.

Buckle up as we expect chaos and plenty of plus-money betting opportunities for the draft on Wednesday night.

3 Best Bets in the NBA Draft

1. Edgecombe or Bailey Could Go Third

Edgecombe is drawing comparisons to former NBA MVP Russell Westbrook; he’s a prominent name and is likely getting drafted third overall by Philadelphia. That’s -225 if we bet the chalk. But should we? It’s hard to see Philly, a team that still sees itself as a title contender, giving the reins of the offense to an uber-talented yet inexperienced player.

There is an outside shot that Philadelphia makes a shocker and takes Ace Bailey (+400) or even Kon Knueppel (+700) with the pick. These may be worth betting on, given the long NBA Draft odds. But the likely scenario is that Philly drafts Edgecombe third, then trades him for another prospect plus some extra picks.

2. Fears Goes No. 6 or Higher

Jeremiah Fears is another intriguing prospect. He’s a combo guard with top-tier athleticism like Edgecombe. Mock drafts have him projected outside of the top five, though it’s not a crazy take to get him here at No. 6 (+325) or +400 to Utah at fifth overall. The best NBA line to bet is for him to go before the seventh pick, under 6.5 at +115.

If Utah goes with Tre Johnson, as expected, Fears could go next to Washington. The Wizards continue to rebuild and will go with the BPA (best player available), and that is likely Fears. He’s got the skills and the mentality to be a franchise guard. Bet on the Oklahoma star.

3. Demin (+200) Selected in the Top 10

Another prospect rising in the rankings is BYU swingman Egor Demin. The public has already steamed his over/under to go under 14.5, meaning he’s a surefire lottery pick. But we’ll take it one step further: he goes in the top 10. This bold NBA prediction pays +200 on the odds, and why not?

Demin has been compared to Bulls guard Josh Giddey as an all-around offensive creator. Teams like Brooklyn, Toronto and Phoenix could all use a player like him, and they pick eighth, ninth and 10th in the first round, respectively. Betting him to go before Kasparas Jakucionis, whose stock has fallen, at +185 is also shrewd.

• Yang Goes in the First Round

Chinese prospect Hansen Yang is propelling his stock thanks to impressive NBA news from scouts following workouts. He’s now listed at +115 to be taken within the first 30 picks. Several teams drafting in the tail end of Round 1, like Boston or Phoenix, could use a big man. Charlotte also has a plethora of second-rounders and could ship a few to move to the first and get him.
