We were off on our Wednesday parlay offering. It happens. But we’ve gone back to the drawing board and mapped out a few more offerings that comprise what we think is the best NBA parlay tonight.
Toronto Should Cover at Home
The New York Knicks head to Canada on Friday night for this Atlantic Division clash with the Toronto Raptors, who are coming off a nice win over Phoenix two nights ago. While the Knicks are also coming off a win, they were forced to rally in the fourth at home against woeful Detroit.
New York has beaten up on sub-.500 teams and that could continue against a 9-10 Raptors squad, but we like the trend to end due to the scheduling nature of this one. While Toronto has been resting at home, the Knicks will be playing the second half of a back-to-back, something that has spelled doom for them a few times this season.
New York finished their last back-to-back with a win at Charlotte, but before that it lost by nine points, six points and 16 points in its first three opportunities finishing up a double dip. The Knicks have also lost three of four to the Raptors each of the last two seasons.
Toronto has won three straight at home and it already has victories in Scotiabank Arena over Minnesota and Milwaukee, as well as a three-point loss to Boston. When analyzing our NBA predictions, picks and parlays we jumped pretty quickly on a bet online in favor of the Raptors winning by a basket or more.
By the way, there’s plenty of intriguing off-court drama between these two teams.
NBA Parlay Pick: Raptors -2 (-115)
… And the Pelicans Should Roll
Sometimes to make a parlay work at the sportsbook you need to throw in a gimme. Just because we said that this might not happen, but we think it’s quite likely the New Orleans Pelicans survive at home against the reeling San Antonio Spurs.
To begin with, the Spurs had to play last night at home, falling in a tight one to Atlanta. It was their 13th straight loss and it’s hard to imagine them breaking that freefall in the second half of a back-to-back in a tough place.
In their last six home games, the Pelicans have defeated Philadelphia, Sacramento (twice), Denver and Dallas, while losing one game to Minnesota by one measly point. We’re simply going to ask for them to win this one with a moneyline pick that should get this parlay a bit further down the road.
NBA Parlay Pick: Pelicans ML -750
… And Bank on Jackson Jr. at Dallas
The Memphis Grizzlies are about as banged up as a team can be and still waiting for Ja Morant’s suspension to end. One of the few constants for them is Jaren Jackson Jr., who has played every game and is averaging a career-high 19.5 points.
That’s exactly where the over/under on our props builder page is set as Jackson’s Grizzlies pay a visit to Dallas. We like his chances to hit 20 or more for a variety of reasons, one being the aforementioned fact that there aren’t a lot of healthy options in Memphis.
Secondly, Jackson scored 30 points against Dallas at home on Oct. 30, taking advantage of a Mavericks team that doesn’t defend well inside of 15 feet or so. Jackson has been struggling from the arc and therefore attacking a bit more inside, which is where he can do damage vs. Dallas.
Jackson also averages 20.3 points per game on the road, so the trends are slightly in his favor there. Fellow stalwart Desmond Bane has been a little off with his shot of late, so that could yield more opportunities for Jackson if he shows a hot hand early.
NBA Parlay Pick: Jaren Jackson Jr. 20+ points (-122)
Questions Of The Day
Which parlay combination offers the best value for bettors?
The steeper the odds the better the payout, but those are hard to cash in on. Throwing in a safe moneyline, as we did above, and pairing it with two tougher options on your NBA bet slip can yield a nice night.
Which teams in this Friday's NBA games should I include in my parlay?
We like the Raptors and Pelicans, as you can see. And keep an eye on the Sixers’ line as they go into Boston to face a Celtics squad that recently had a run of five straight losses against the spread.
