Here’s a quick rundown of how the NBA Play-In Tournament works:

- Each conference’s No. 7 team in the standings will host the No. 8 team. The winners secure the No. 7 seed in the playoffs, and the losers will get another chance to earn a spot.
- Each conference’s No. 9 team in the standings will host the No. 10 team. The winners will advance to the final stage of the Play-In Tournament. The losers are eliminated.

We keep things rolling on Wednesday when Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers host Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat at 7:00 pm EST. The Atlanta Hawks will follow that matchup on the road against the Chicago Bulls. The playoff-seeding race in the Eastern Conference was red-hot down the stretch of the end of the season, and so were our NBA predictions. We’re coming off of another profitable regular season, so let’s stay hot with our best NBA player props tonight.
Here are the best NBA player prop bets for Wednesday.
Best NBA Player Props Today
1. Bulls PG Coby White Over 19.5 Points (-129)
We’re going to trust the former North Carolina Tar Heel on Wednesday night in Chicago. Coby White enjoyed a breakout in his fifth NBA season. He averaged 19.1 points per game and was often the secondary piece to veteran DeMar DeRozan throughout the regular season. At one point in February, he appeared to be a great NBA future bet. He will likely finish with the second-most votes for the NBA’s Most Improved Player of the Year after he nearly doubled his previous scoring clip from the year prior. With significant injuries this season to Lonzo Ball and Zach LaVine, White had seen his minutes thrust upwards. He is the only player that has come close to sniffing Tyrese Maxey for the award. I expect him to play a significant role against the Hawks.
White scored at least 20 points in 30 of 50 games this season without LaVine, where he played at least 30 minutes. LaVine was absent in all three meetings with Atlanta this season, and White scored 22, 20, and 19 points. The Hawks are among the most susceptible teams to opposing guards who can put the ball on the floor and find their own bucket. This is mainly due to Trae Young’s inability on the defensive end to slow down high-octane guards like White. Atlanta allowed the third-most fastbreak points per game, and White is one of the quickest ball handlers in the league. He was just outside the top 20 in total fastbreak points scored per game this season. We can count on Coby to score at least 20 points on Wednesday.

2. NBA Player Prop: 76ers PG Kyle Lowry Over 5.5 Points (-107)
This could be the most brilliant play in my history betting the NBA or the worst, but I think we’re getting a steal on the veteran Kyle Lowry on Wednesday night. Oddsmakers have priced the 38-year-old like he’s his age. I respect that, and this could be a sweat! After the Miami Heat ousted Lowry at the trade deadline and sent him to the Charlotte Hornets in a package for Terry Rozier, the 18-year vet signed with the 76ers after a buyout from Charlotte. He rejoined his former head coach from his championship season with the Raptors, Nick Nurse. His head coach will trust him to play significant minutes in a meaningful game like this against Miami.
Lowry has played just four games with Joel Embiid, all of which came over the last two weeks of the season. NBA betting fans saw him score 4, 8, 8, and 7 points in those appearances. Miami defends Embiid as well as anyone has in his career, and they force his teammates to make shots. Embiid has only eclipsed 30 points four times in 25 career games against Miami. Lowry can find the soft spots against his former team because he knows them as well as anyone. I’m willing to buy low on Lowry!
