And for my NBA predictions, we’ll spotlight the top four teams that have been running the show and break down how the other 26 measure up. Ready to make sense of the latest trends and set your sights on some winning bets? Let’s get into it.

4 Teams Worth Betting to Win the NBA Championship

1. Oklahoma City Thunder (+500)

Striding into the top spot, I’m giving it to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Yep, you heard me! They’ve picked up right where they left off last season, now 6-0 and one of two unbeatens in the NBA. While they may not be an offensive juggernaut, this squad is balanced and defensively airtight, holding opponents to just 97 points per game and ranking second in limiting 3-point shooting to 30%.

With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leading the charge — averaging 26 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 6.5 assists — they’re ready for another deep playoff run and then some. Gilgeous-Alexander is currently the favorite to win MVP honors at +240 in NBA futures odds.

The Thunder might not have a roster full of big names, but their chemistry is off the charts. Watch out — OKC is the team to beat at this point in the season.

2. Boston Celtics (+275)

For the silver spot this week, it’s all Boston. The Celtics might not be known for their defense, but their offense packs a punch that’s hard to match. Leading the NBA in scoring with 123.7 points per game, they’re also well ahead of the competition with 19 made 3-pointers per game. Yeah, that was not a typo.

Like it or not, the reigning NBA champions are an offensive powerhouse, and right now, there’s no sign of that slowing down — especially with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown both healthy and hitting their shots.

As long as these two stay on the court, Boston’s scoring machine will keep rolling, making the Celtics a tough matchup for anyone. The Celtics are definitely a team to watch as the season continues and have the best odds to repeat as NBA champions for those who bet online.

3. Cleveland Cavaliers (+2000)

Without question, the Cleveland Cavaliers earned this week’s third spot. At 7-0, they’ve been a force on both ends, with Donovan Mitchell leading the offense at 24 points per game and Jared Allen anchoring the boards with a double-double average of 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Are they championship material? Maybe not yet, but these Cavs are no joke. Just behind Boston, Cleveland’s offense is rolling with 123 points per game and a league-best 52% field goal percentage. Defensively, the Cavs are just as solid, pulling away with a +14.7 point differential. This team has proven they’re more than capable of closing out games with a lopsided final score and worth including in your NBA picks.

4. Dallas Mavericks (+1000)

For the fourth and final spot this week in our NBA power rankings, the Dallas Mavericks make the cut. Since trading for shooting guard Klay Thompson from Golden State, Dallas has jumped into serious Finals contender territory. Sitting at a solid 4-2 record, the offense looks like a real threat, powered by the trio of Kyrie Irving, Luka Doncic and Thompson, who are putting up over 60 points per game together.

And while everyone’s focused on their scoring, don’t overlook their defense — currently ranked fourth and allowing just 105 points per game. While Dallas’ NBA betting odds may not be as sharp as OKC’s or Boston’s, with these three healthy, the Mavericks could make a strong run in the Western Conference.
