Second, Los Angeles had just about the most ideal situation on the front end of its back-to-back. It crushed Memphis with a barrage of 3-pointers, which allowed all the regulars to sit out the fourth quarter. In fact, no Laker played 30 or more minutes.

We expect just enough rust in the Phoenix engine to keep the Timberwolves in it. The visitors from Minnesota are getting 5½ points, and while they’re finishing up a back-to-back we just love the way they’re playing right now and think they’ll keep it close.
