NBA Wednesday Parlay: Ride Road ’Dogs

The NBA goes all out in squeezing in as much action as it can in these last few days before the All-Star break. Seemingly everybody has a back-to-back and three games in four nights, making for some difficult lineup decisions. As we present another parlay offering with the best NBA prop bets for tonight, keep in mind the rest (or lack thereof) factor for these games.

Start with Angry Knicks vs Magic

Here’s one where we like the team that is rested, but not just because of that. New York enters following a day off in which it filed a protest with the NBA over an incorrect call at Houston on Monday.

The Knicks were positively livid after that result and figure to be very motivated when they head to Orlando on Wednesday. Sure, New York is banged up and has lost three in a row, but this might be one of those nights where Jalen Brunson – the man at the center of the controversy — simply takes over.

Keep an eye on the NBA news cycle for updates on Donte DiVincenzo (hamstring) and Isaiah Hartenstein (Achilles), as their presence would do wonders for the Knicks. Still, we like them to keep it close against a Magic squad that was beaten at home by 14 points against Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

Orlando is just 2-8 when playing on no rest. The Magic are giving away 3½ points. Take the beat-up but angry visitors in this one.

NBA Parlay Pick: New York Knicks +3½ points

… And Expect Bulls to Keep it Close vs Cavs

We’ve discussed the red-hot Cleveland Cavaliers a lot lately, including in Tuesday’s East Top 5 report, while noting the incredibly easy run of opponents they’ve picked on lately.

Cleveland finally took a hit with a home loss to a struggling Philadelphia team on Monday and it now must contend with a Chicago squad that isn’t “easy” by any stretch of the imagination. Indeed, the Bulls are 21-14 over their last 35 games, 4-1 over their last five on the road and 7-4 over their last 11 away from home.

The Cavaliers have had their way with Chicago in the first two meetings, but don’t think that you have to go to that well every time. The Bulls are 2-1 on their current road trip with only an OT loss in Orlando. They can keep this close enough to warrant a bet online at the sportsbook.

NBA Parlay Pick: Chicago Bulls +9½ points

… And Lean on Duncan Robinson in Philly

The Miami Heat always seem to be at their best when the chips are down. After losing Jimmy Butler, Terry Rozier and Josh Richardson in recent days, they responded with an absolute beatdown of the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday.

Duncan Robinson was a big reason why. He buried 6 of 8 3-pointers in a 23-point effort while getting his first start in several weeks. Robinson figures to get another start in this one as Butler remains away from the team. He’s posted 17.1 points per game as a starter this season and is often a streaky guy, so expect Miami to try to ride his hot hand as it finishes up a back-to-back.

Robinson’s over/under is set 14½ points, so one of the best basketball bets online you can make Wednesday is to go over that figure.

NBA Parlay Pick: Duncan Robinson over 14½ points (+100)

Questions of the Day

Is there another bet out there that looks favorable?

We always like going with home underdogs and Charlotte is getting seven points against Atlanta. The Hornets won by nine over Indiana in their last game, so this number looks very beatable for the Hornets.

What can we look for in Thursday’s games?

It’ll be interesting to see how the Bucks respond from a lopsided home loss when they visit Memphis. A loss there, or at least a difficult win, won’t give Milwaukee much of a good vibe going into the break.
