Nets vs Grizzlies Parlay Picks: ATS and Prop Bet for Dec 13

Brooklyn Nets ATS +11.5

The Nets and Grizzlies meet for the third time this season, and Brooklyn will be missing their top scorer, SG Cam Thomas (per updated Nets vs. Grizzlies injuries) (24.7 points per game). Even so, I’m rolling with Brooklyn to cover on the road.

I get it -this doesn’t scream “safe bet.” The Nets are banged up and already 2-0 against Memphis, who’ve been tearing it up with a 17-8 record and three straight wins. On paper, it looks like the Grizzlies should steamroll them. But that’s why they play the games, right?

SF Cameron Johnson has been stepping up with 18.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per game, PG Dennis Schroeder’s pitching in 18.6 points and 6.5 assists, and C Nick Claxton’s just shy of a double-double at 9.8 points and 7.8 boards. Throw in PF Dorian Finney-Smith’s 10.6 points, and the Nets aren’t exactly rolling over.

Keep in mind, the Brooklyn Nets are 7-0 in non-conference games, covering the spread 100% of the time. Just thought I’d leave that little tidbit in there for ya.

Not only do I expect the Nets to cover the spread, but I’m also banking on SF Cameron Johnson coming up huge from long range, finishing with three or more 3-pointers in this matchup.

Look, you can’t be that surprised by this NBA player prop I’m throwing out there. Johnson’s been on fire this season from beyond the arc. In his last two games, he’s hit over four 3-pointers, with one game going off for seven. And in his last four games, he’s averaged more than four 3-point makes.

With Cam Thomas out, it’s expected for Johnson to get even more looks from deep in this third game against the Grizzlies. And given how consistent he’s been, I’m putting my money on him hitting at least three of those shots. I mean, with stats like that, how could you not? If you like making money, this is an easy bet.
