Brooklyn Nets at New York Knicks Game Preview, Odds, Picks & Predictions
Nets Hope to Wake Up vs. Knicks
The Brooklyn Nets were finally able to get a win. Their win over the lowly Sacramento Kings was their first in 12 games, which is shocking for a team that many expected to win the NBA championship.
They hope to win again against the New York Knicks, who are also in a nosedive. The Knicks have lost six of their last seven games overall.

Taking a look at this NBA game betting matchup, which of these two sides is the best bet versus the NBA odds?

Injuries Stacking Up for Nets
Kevin Durant continues to be sidelined with a knee injury and there is still not even a timetable for his return to the court. Without Durant, this team has been in a freefall.
It doesn’t help that Kyrie Irving is expected to be out for the next couple games since he is ineligible to play in the state of New York due to his non-vaccination status.
We also won’t be seeing recent acquisition Ben Simmons make his Brooklyn debut as he is still ramping up his workouts. The roster will now be heavily limited in terms of scoring potential.
Players like Seth Curry, Patty Mills, Cam Thomas and Andre Drummond are going to be tasked with large roles to try and help the Nets win. Somebody has to have a big night.
Knicks Can’t Score Consistently
The Knicks are ranked 28th in the league in terms of points scored per game. They are going to have an even tougher time putting up points with RJ Barrett ruled out due to injury.
Julius Randle is going to be the X-factor but he hasn’t played at anywhere near the All-Star level he was last season. He still averages 19.6 points but if he struggles, the Knicks are down to Evan Fournier and Kemba Walker to try and lift this squad up.
Given how bad they have struggled lately, it’s going to take a lot to beat the Nets even with their injuries.
Nets vs. Knicks Head-to-Head
Historically, these teams have been very competitive in their meetings. The Nets barely lead the all-time series against the Knicks with a 102-101 record.
They played each other once earlier in the season and saw Brooklyn come out on top.
Nets vs. Knicks Prediction
The Nets are missing their two best players and don’t even have James Harden anymore after trading him to the Philadelphia 76ers. This team is very depleted right now but there are a lot of veteran leaders out there.
Seth Curry is one player that could help them while their main players are sidelined. He dropped 23 points in his Brooklyn debut.
The current betting line has the Knicks listed as the favorites by 6.5 points in the sportsbook. It’s hard to trust either of these teams with your NBA picks, so just go with the dog.
