2 Expert NBA Parlay Picks for Nets vs Pelicans

1. Nets (-1)

Look, I know what you’re thinking: “Of course you’re backing the Nets, you’re a fan.” But trust me, it’s not that. The Brooklyn Nets continue to show signs that they’ve got serious potential – and I’m not just talking about a couple of decent games here.

Brooklyn hasn’t exactly been stacking wins, but let’s break it down: They’ve lost two straight, but both were against the top dogs in the Eastern Conference – falling 105-100 to the Cleveland Cavaliers and taking an overtime loss to the Boston Celtics, 108-104. That’s a combined 9-point deficit. Nine. I mean, you can’t really ask for much more from a squad that’s in the midst of a rebuild, right?

Now, here’s where it gets interesting: Brooklyn’s three-point game is still on fire. Through 10 games, they’re averaging 14 3-pointers a night, ranking 10th in the league. Compare that to the Pelicans’ defense or, more accurately, what defense? New Orleans has been awful this season defensively, allowing opponents to shoot 50% from the field – second-worst in the NBA.

And if that wasn’t bad enough, the Pelicans are limping into this game with a long list of injuries. Power forward Zion Williamson is out until at least November 25th (per updated Nets vs Pelicans injuries), and shooting guard CJ McCollum, along with forward Herbert Jones, are sidelined until next week.

Sure, New Orleans has dropped three straight at home, and while they are desperate for a home win, it’s not happening this time against a Nets team that’s due for a road win.

2. Nets vs Pelicans Final Score Under 212

Despite Brooklyn’s consistent 3-point shooting and facing a Pelicans defense that’s got more holes than a cheese grater – allowing opponents to shoot an absurd 50% from the floor – I’m still taking the under for this matchup.

The Nets have a knack for dragging games below the predicted total. With 2-3 days of rest, 100% of their games have stayed under. This season, 60% of their games, including road games, have also hit the under.

Now, let’s look at the Pelicans. While 66.7% of their games this season have gone over, this matchup won’t follow that script. Why? Remember, the Pelicans will be missing major scoring pieces, including Zion Williamson (22.7 PPG), CJ McCollum (18.8 PPG), and forward Herbert Jones (6.8 PPG). That’s a big offensive dent, making it unlikely they’ll put up enough points to push the total over.

Brooklyn should walk away with the win, but don’t be surprised when the final score falls below the line. Take the under in today’s NBA betting lines.
