A Blaze of Worry

Portland lost its last two games but this team has been bad even before Damian Lillard got hurt. Portland started the season 10-8 despite Lillard’s poor shooting. They Blazers have gone 13-26, which is the fifth-worst record in the NBA. Their -7.8 net rating is also the fourth-worst.

On the online sports betting front, the Blazers are not as abysmal with a 23-24 against the spread (ATS) record. However, this team is only 3-7 ATS in its last 10 and is just 8-17 ATS on the road,

Rested Bucks Ready to Roll

The Milwaukee Bucks have had three full days to let the blowout loss against the Phoenix Suns percolate in their memories. Now, they get a much easier team on paper. The Bucks are 4-5 ATS when coming off at two to three days’ rest but are also rolling out a newish lineup with Serge Ibaka potentially joining the team.

Ibaka gives Milwaukee more depth and size as he replaces the injured Brook Lopez. Milwaukee did lose Pat Connaughton with a finger injury just after trading away Donte DiVicenzo so the team may be a bit lacking at swingman behind Khris Middleton.

Still, Milwaukee should have no issues dispatching a tanking team like the Blazers. Milwaukee is 23-7 against teams below .500, though the Bucs are just 9-15 ATS, which is the second-worst cover rate among home favorites.

Trail Blazers at Bucks Head-to-Head

The Milwaukee Bucks have dominated the Portland Trail Blazers in the Lillard era. Milwaukee has won its last six against Portland and is 16-5 against it since the 2012-13 season. The Bucks have covered seven of their last 10 meetings against the Blazers.

Trail Blazers at Bucks Prediction

Well, the obvious NBA prediction is that the Milwaukee Bucks will beat the Portland Trail Blazers. What isn’t so obvious is if Milwaukee can cover this lofty spread. The Bucks have one of the worst cover rates in the NBA but are 7-4 ATS when favored by 10 or more points.

Milwaukee is 24-9 in games decided by 10 or more points. More notably, Milwaukee is 12-1 against the five worst teams in the NBA, and eight of these 12 wins came by 15 or more points. The Bucks also blew out Portland by 29 points the last time they met.

There should be no stopping Milwaukee from dumping another 130 points on Portland. Giannis Antetokounmpo and the starting lineup may be resting after 28 minutes. Additionally, bet online on this one to go lower than the total as Portland may not even hit 100 points.
