Suns’ Booker Shines, Phoenix Loses
The Phoenix Suns have proven to be one of the elite squads in the Western Conference. The Suns have won 12 of their last 15 games, and superstar shooting guard Devin Booker is now an All-Star. Booker recently replaced injured LA Lakers big man Anthony Davis on the All-Star roster, after being snubbed initially by the NBA. Even Davis’ teammate LeBron James spoke out on Booker’s behalf, suggesting that he should have been selected well before this.
Devin Booker is the most disrespected player in our league!!! Simple as that.

Booker scored 33 points against the Charlotte Hornets in his first game action following the All-Star announcement. Unfortunately for Phoenix, Booker’s efforts were not enough to secure a win vs Charlotte’s swarming, balanced attack. The Hornets had seven players who scored in double digits, and were nearly perfect at the free-throw line (25/27). The Suns lost to the Hornets 124-121 at home, as Booker’s desperation three missed at the buzzer.
Gritty Bulls Seeing Red
Booker may have been disrespected by not being added to the All-Star roster sooner, but the Bulls know the feeling. Chicago is slated as a seven-point home underdog vs Phoenix, though the Bulls have won five out of six. The Bulls have been playing inspired basketball, despite being without the services of Lauri Markkanen for 10 games.
During Markkanen’s absence due to a shoulder injury, the Chicago Bulls have posted a 7-3 record, with a +55 point differential. The Bulls may opt to move Markkanen before the trade deadline since they’re arguably playing their best basketball in years. Most recently, Chicago took out the Minnesota Timberwolves 133-126 in overtime, behind a balanced scoring effort led by Zach LaVine’s 35 points. Seven Bulls scored in double figures.
Suns vs Bulls Betting Forecast
Both of these talented teams are peaking, so this is a complicated betting forecast. It’s highly probable that the Suns win this game, but it’s unlikely that they’ll beat the Bulls by 8+ points. Over Chicago’s last 29 games, they’ve only lost by more than eight points three times (Milwaukee and both L.A. teams). The Bulls are tough to blow out.
Also, Chicago is 19-12 ATS, including 5-1 over it’s previous six contests. Betting the Bulls +7 is the best bet on the board for this game. Although the Suns should win, it’s not worth it at -260, especially when the Bulls might very well upset them. Chicago’s moneyline of +220 is certainly more attractive, if you’re feeling frisky.
