The Memphis Grizzlies are hoping a change of venue can help their cause, as they host Game 3 of their Western Conference first-round series against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday night. Oklahoma City has rolled to a pair of victories to start this series, but Memphis will look to turn things around at home. To do so, the Grizzlies have to solve the tough Thunder defense, which means big games from Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. We give you some of our NBA best bets for Thursday’s clash, so read on.

Thunder vs Grizzlies NBA Playoffs Prediction

Unfortunately for Memphis, it is facing one of the hottest teams around in Oklahoma City, which won six straight and 16 of its last 18 coming into this one. And that’s with many of those games meaning nothing to the Thunder, who clinched the top record in the league a long time ago. Oklahoma City is finally to the postseason, where it can prove its regular-season success is no fluke. That continues on Thursday, as the Thunder increase their NBA playoff series odds with yet another victory. Thunder 128, Grizzlies 107

Thunder vs Grizzlies Best Player Props Today

  • Grizzlies F Jaren Jackson Jr. Over 19.5 Points (-118)

Jackson is a versatile offensive player who doesn’t get the recognition he deserves, playing next to Morant. Jackson has developed into a very good 3-point shooter and has the length to score on post-ups and off offensive boards. It will be in a losing effort, but we like Jackson to have another big scoring game for Memphis in Game 3, making him one of the top NBA props for this contest.

  • Thunder C Chet Holmgren Over 8.5 Rebounds (-183)

In another case of being overshadowed by a great scoring guard, Chet Holmgren has been fantastic for Oklahoma City this season and in this series. That’s especially true on the glass, where the 7-foot-1 22-year-old has upped his rebound average to 10.5 per contest after snagging 8.0 during the regular season. Even against the Memphis front line of Jackson and Zach Edey, Holmgren has been able to grab plenty of rebounds, leading us to this being among our NBA picks for Game 3.

  • Grizzlies G Desmond Bane Over 2.5 3-Pointers (-170)

After shooting just 3-of-13 from beyond the arc in the first two games of the series, Memphis guard Desmond Bane should benefit from the move back home for Game 3. Bane shot 39.2% from 3-point range in the regular season, averaging 2.4 3-pointers per game. We like him to get some open looks from beyond the arc to help Memphis stay in this game for at least a little while.

Thunder vs Grizzlies Moneyline Pick

This just seems too easy of a pick to make, as Oklahoma City has been dominant in this series thus far. Don’t overthink this one, and don’t expect a big payoff either. The top-seeded Thunder rarely lost in the regular season, and they won’t in this one either. Take Oklahoma City to pick up the road victory.

Bet on Thunder ML (-450) vs Timberwolves

Thunder vs Grizzlies Spread Pick

Like the rest of this series, this game will not be close. Memphis has not put up a challenge against Oklahoma City in the first two games –or during the regular season– losing by double-digits each time. The Thunder’s defense turns into instant offense, and that continues in this one.

No NBA news today of an upset, and the Thunder will roll.

Bet On Thunder (-110) vs Grizzlies

Thunder vs Grizzlies Over/Under Pick

Defense is what sets Oklahoma City apart in this matchup, with the Thunder’s depth being a big difference. Other than Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams, no other Thunder player averages over 15.0 points per game, though five others average in double-figures. The offense cooks for OKC while the defense holds the Grizzlies down again as the Thunder’s NBA Finals oddsimprove with yet another defensive gem.
