It seems like a lock for NBA predictions today that the Oklahoma City Thunder are one of the best teams in the Western Conference. However, there were some questions surrounding the Golden State Warriors. Well, these two teams are at the top of the West now and ready for a marquee matchup.
In the Thunder’s last game, they beat the Sacramento Kings easily, winning 130-109. Isaiah Hartenstein made his first start of the season after missing the first 15 games, but he is making an immediate impact.
However, the Warriors looked far less impressive in their last game, shifting the lines for this matchup at BetUS Sportsbook. They lost 128-120 to an injury-riddled Brooklyn Nets team at home, which is a bad look for a team wanting to compete for a top spot in the West.

2 Best Thunder vs Warriors NBA Predictions Today
1. ATS Pick: Thunder -2.5
After getting the No.1 seed last season and being tied for the best record in the West, the Thunder were not going to be underestimated in 2024-25. They are the favorites in our odds to win the Western Conference at +225.
The line probably leaned even more in the Thunder’s favor, having a legitimate starting center again. Hartenstein was supposed to be the team’s starting center, having been signed as a free agent this offseason. However, an injury kept him out for the first 15 games.
That led to Chet Holmgren remaining the Thunder’s starting center again after finishing second in Rookie of the Year voting last season but being the lone big in the starting five again. Holmgren lacks some of the size of a traditional center, so moving him to power forward with the arrival of Hartenstein was going to be a perfect fit. However, after 10 starts, he headlined NBA news by also getting injured.
That forced the Thunder to start a small ball lineup, as their big room was hit with injuries, with Holmgren, Hartenstein, and Jaylin Williams all sidelined. At 6-foot-6 inches, Jalen Williams stepped up and played well as the starting center for five games, and the Thunder went 3-2.
Isaiah Hartenstein is probably the most underrated offseason acquisition 🔥

Now that Hartenstein is back, it is hard not to back the Thunder. That was why I had them covering the 4½ points spread against the Kings. Hartenstein came off the bench in his first game, playing 29 minutes, with 13 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks. Then, starting against the Kings, he had 19 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists.
Best Bet: Oklahoma City Thunder -2½

2. Best Over Under Pick: Over 229.5
The Warriors’ loss to the Nets should not change their outlook on the season, but it is concerning. Midway through the third quarter, the Warriors were up 86-68 on their home court. However, in the final 20 minutes of the game, the Warriors took their foot off the gas, which led to a 60-34 run by the Nets.

Again, that late-game collapse by the Warriors should not take anything away from how great of a season they have had so far. They are in the top 10 in points scored (117.7) and allowed (109.9). Furthermore, they are in the top 10 in offensive (116.1) and defensive (108.4) ratings. Just one slip-up will not flip the whole Warriors season on its head.
The Warriors’ defense failed in the loss to the Nets, and they will have another tough challenge against the Thunder, who average the 11th-most points per game (115.2). The Thunder are still figuring out their offense with Hartenstein, but Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will always put up numbers, averaging 29.2 points per game, with 37 in the win over the Kings.
The Thunder’s offense is a big reason to lean NBA picks towards the over, but the Warriors can also score. They still scored 120 points in the loss to the Nets, with Stephen Curry leading the way with 28. The bench also scored 47 points, led by Moses Moody, who had 15 in 16 minutes.
Best Bet: Warriors vs Thunder Over 229.5
Questions of the Day
Who is going to lead this game in scoring?
Gilgeous-Alexander continually looks like one of the top scorers in the league, but Curry will challenge him in this matchup to lead the game in scoring.
Is there a prop bet to pay attention to?
Hartenstein has immediately impacted the Thunder’s glass, and we expect that to continue with another big rebounding game.
