NBA Playoff Odds Favor The Timberwolves To Take 2-0 Lead Over Suns

The Minnesota Timberwolves are 3-point NBA Playoff betting favorites to beat the Phoenix Suns in Game 2, which is a generous line for the home side.

They were clearly the best team in the opening game of the Western Conference series, but there has been solid support for the Suns with NBA betting markets.

The Sun Isn’t Shining These Days

We believe the Suns are one of the most frustrating NBA teams, and we doubt their drive and dedication to win.

Toughing out a playoff win could be just too hard for the Suns, who were run over when losing 120-95 in Game 1.

It was a listless performance, and even 31 points from Kevin Durant wasn’t enough to see the Suns cover the spread.

The big disappointment came from Devin Booker, who lodged 18 points on 5-for-16 shooting. It’s not good enough, and when your attitude doesn’t match your output, people start to ask questions.

There are certain teams who aren’t built for playoff success and the Suns are one of them. Getting Durant was a positive, but he was unable to win an NBA title with prime James Harden and Russell Westbrook at Oklahoma City, and the Suns aren’t close to being as good.

It’s a make-or-miss league,” Durant said. “You’ve got to knock down shots if you want to win.

Getting only a +3 line for the Suns is tough to fathom. They have been overrated for most of the year, and we think the Timberwolves are in the midst of exposing them.

Here’s a look at some NBA Lines and NBA Game Odds to consider!

Professionalism Wins the Day

We love the professionalism of the Timberwolves, and although Rudy Gobert does and says silly things, they’re all about business on the court.

Anthony Edwards sent a message with 33 points in Game 1, and we expect he’ll have another big scoring night on Tuesday.

The best thing about the Timberwolves is their team play. They had five players scoring in double figures, including Karl-Anthony Towns (19), Gobert (14), and a huge effort from Nickeil Alexander-Walker with 18 points off the bench.

Getting that production off the bench is paramount, and it should give the -3 favorites plenty of confidence heading into Game 2.

Boasting a 31-11 record at Target Center, the Timberwolves are well-placed to win again. We can’t find any negatives, and we would have been prepared to take a -6½ line, so the -3 line is overly generous.

We just wanted to show we were the desperate team,” Edwards said. “It’s going to be hard to beat these guys.

It’s just one game. They’re going to be ready to go the next time we play them.

Edwards is doing a good job of not getting ahead of himself, but he knows the ‘Wolves have the Suns measure.

Confidence is King

Even when the Suns win games, they don’t look confident. The same can’t be said for the Timberwolves, who are thriving on the situation.

There have been critics saying the Timberwolves are overrated. We couldn’t disagree more, and winning by 25 points in Game 1 was a prime example of why.

The Timberwolves at -3 is one of the best NBA bets of the week, and we’re locking it in with supreme confidence. We’re not worried about Durant or Booker catching fire because their teammates aren’t doing much heavy lifting.

Take the -3 line before bettors realize just how untrustworthy the Suns are come playoff time.
