As we kick off the season, I want to pull you aside and highlight some knockout winners for online betting that you definitely shouldn’t pass up on this season. So, take a seat, give me the floor, and let’s put some money in your pocket as I break down these top three NBA specials!

3 NBA Specials Bets to Make

1. Brooklyn Nets Under 14½ Seed (-150)

Alright, people, let’s talk about the Nets. There’s a reason I’m putting them at the number one bet, and it’s not just because I’m a fan. They’re set to finish better than 14th in the Eastern Conference, and that’s a bet you should seriously consider.

This offseason hurt for Brooklyn. Trading away Mikal Bridges, their second-leading scorer, to the Knicks without getting anything substantial back only adds to the chaos. Sure, they Nets snagged veteran sharpshooter Bogdan Bogdanović, but how much does that really help?

They do have some pieces that can contribute, like big man Nic Claxton and forward Cam Johnson. And don’t forget Cam Thomas, last season’s leading scorer. But can any of these guys step up and be the difference-makers the team is looking for? Not really. And don’t even mention Ben Simmons — his “back injury” saga is still more of a mystery than a comeback story.

Despite their struggles, the Nets managed to win 32 games last season. They may have lost Bridges, but they’re pretty much bringing back the same squad. I see them hovering around the 12th or 13th spot in the East, which isn’t great but definitely a “money in the bank”’ opportunity for you.

Remember, last season the Nets finished ninth in 3-pointers made per game and 11th in rebounds. So, taking the Nets to finish under the 14½ seed in the Eastern Conference isn’t a stretch. It’s a bet worth making. Thank me later!

2. Detroit Pistons Over 12½ Seed (-105)

Hang on, I know the title had you doing a double take, but hear me out — don’t jump the gun just yet. The Detroit Pistons were an embarrassment last season, finishing dead last in the East with a 14-68 record. Sure, they made some solid signings this offseason, bringing in veteran forwards Tobias Harris (second time with Detroit) and Tim Hardaway Jr., but they’re still going to finish below the 12th seed.

The Pistons are a very young team in the middle of a rebuild, with point guard Cade Cunningham at the helm. We know Cunningham can deliver — he led the team in points, assists and steals last season. Harris and Hardaway Jr. are decent role players, but let’s face it: They’re not the x-factor players this team desperately needs. Can they help push Detroit past the 12th spot in the East? Not a chance.

Hardaway Jr. averaged just 14.4 points and 3.2 rebounds in 79 games with the Dallas Mavericks last season while Harris posted 17.2 points and 6.5 rebounds during his time with the 76ers. Solid numbers, sure, but this isn’t ‘the’ solution to get the Pistons higher than the 12th spot in the East.

Detroit will definitely show some improvement, but don’t expect the Pistons to climb higher than the 12th seed. They still have a lot of work ahead for the long haul.

So, go ahead and lock in your bet: the Pistons will finish over the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference this season. Trust me, it’s the smart move.

3. Bronny James’ First Basket: 3-Pointer (+200)

This NBA specials bet should come as no surprise. Lakers guard Bronny James has been trending everywhere. At this point in his career, it’s safe to say he’s not quite ready to match up against NBA talent. He’s undersized and inconsistent in his playmaking and scoring ability. He has a long way to go before anyone considers him a reliable role player, let alone a starter in the league.

Sure, he scored a preseason high of 17 points in the Lakers’ last game, but let’s not forget that came on 7-of-17 shooting and 1-of-5 from 3-point range. Not exactly a reason to throw a parade.

Despite coming up short in many categories needed to make an impact, he will see some game time this season, fulfilling LeBron’s dream of sharing the court with his son. With that in mind, Bronny’s first bucket will be a 3-pointer.

Look, Bronny is far from a long-range marksman — he finished just 1-of-12 from deep this preseason. But don’t kid yourself – in this Lakers offense, he’ll have to sit outside the paint to give his dad and Anthony Davis some room to operate on the interior. He’s not exactly fast or strong enough to be a lethal slasher just yet.

With that in mind, he will get his chance during garbage time. Imagine this: He steps onto the court late in the game, receives a pass as the clock winds down, and finds himself wide open on the 3-point line. I like his odds of hitting that shot, making it his first bucket in the NBA.

Bet on Bronny James to make his dad proud by knocking down his first NBA basket — a 3-pointer.
