Without their two All-Stars, it’s hard to see where Dallas finds any consistent offense to keep up.

Meanwhile, for Portland, Shooting guards Anfernee Simons (18.6 points) and Shaedon Sharpe (17.9 points) continue to lead the charge, while C Deandre Ayton continues to rack up double-doubles with 14.3 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. Add in a supporting cast that knows their role, and the Blazers have the momentum – and the firepower – to take care of business.

In their last meeting, Thompson went just 2-for-8 from beyond the arc, but the game before, he cashed in on 3-of-8. With Doncic and Irving out, expect him to get more looks, but bank on the veteran sharpshooter to come up short.

Don’t get me wrong – Sharpe can knock down the long ball when needed, but it’s far from his bread and butter.

The last time these teams met, he went 2-for-4 from deep, and before that, just 1-for-4 from 3-point land. Sure, he’s coming off a 3-for-7 performance from beyond the arc against Detroit, but I don’t see him replicating that here. Sharpe thrives in the mid-range and attacking the rim. Bet on him to score, just not from downtown.
