Tuesday 3/19 NBA Player Props: Don’t Doubt Doncic

What a sweet time of the year. The cold winter is on its way out, and we’re sweeping our NBA predictions at an absurd rate. We cashed all three NBA player props on Monday and have plenty of steam entering Tuesday. Before we dive into today’s NBA odds, here’s a quick recap of Monday’s action.

Six of the eight favorites won outright on Monday. Most notably, the Lakers orchestrated a terrific bounce-back win over the Hawks as they look to climb out of the Play-In Tournament with just about a month left in the regular season.

The upsets came when the Cavaliers defeated the Pacers despite being shorthanded. Jalen Brunson and the Knicks won their fourth straight road game when they took down Steph Curry and the Warriors.

We also witnessed arguably the two best dunks of the season with two significant posterizations by Anthony Edward and Jalen Johnson.

Each team has roughly 15 games remaining in the regular season, and every night from here will have playoff implications. We have a five-game schedule on Tuesday and one significant battle out West. Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets, in a three-way fight for first in the Western Conference, cap off the night with a massive clash against the Timberwolves.

There are several games worth watching and plenty of player props to select from for Tuesday. I’ve done the research, so you don’t have to. Let’s get to our NBA expert picks for Tuesday, March 19.

Best NBA Player Props Today

Magic PF Paolo Banchero Over 34½ Points + Rebounds + Assists (-121)

Paolo Banchero has quietly had a breakout season in his second year. The first-time All-Star has Orlando in the thick of the Eastern Conference playoff race, and the Magic are motivated to win every night. They have won eight of their last 10. The former No. 1 overall pick is over this line in 15 of his previous 22 games, including a stretch of 11 consecutive games before the All-Star break.

The Magic host the Charlotte Hornets tonight. The Hornets are tied for the fourth-most assists allowed per game in the NBA and the third-most to opposing power forwards. The Hornets are depleted, and Banchero has exceeded this line in six of his last 13 games. Charlotte has allowed the third-most rebounds in the NBA to power forwards and is in full tank mode. I expect Banchero to take advantage of that tonight.

Banchero finished the first home matchup against Charlotte this season with 38 PRAs. I’m expecting a similar performance, and this is one of my best NBA over-under looks tonight.

Rockets PG Fred VanVleet Over 8½ Assists (-118)

The Houston Rockets are riding a five-game win streak into Washington when they battle the Wizards. Houston has been without starting center Alperen Sengun over the last three games, and he will likely miss the rest of the season. Sengun was leading Houston in usage, so some other guys have had to step up in his absence.

One of those is veteran point guard Fred VanVleet. FVV has 16, nine and seven assists in the three games since Sengun went down. The Wizards give up the most assists per game in the NBA and FVV averages 14.1 potential assists during the season. In the three games without Sengun, that number increased to 17.3 potential. I’m firing up FVV with confidence!

Mavericks PG Luka Doncic Over 3½ 3-Pointers Made (-136)

These 3-pointer props have been cashing for us all season long. Unfortunately, this isn’t a plus-money banger, but Luka Doncic is easy to trust now. He has been on an absolute tear since the All-Star break. He has scored at least 30 points in 10 of 12 games since the break.

Since the break, Doncic has made four or more threes in six of his last seven and nine of 12. The Mavericks are 8½-point favorites tonight in San Antonio. The Spurs have allowed the fourth-best opponent 3-point percentage (37.8%). Luka has shot 3 of 11, 5 of 10, and 1 of 8 from three against the Spurs this season. He has gone over this line in five of eight career games in San Antonio with three misses all by the hook, finishing with three total 3-pointers made. I’m willing to ride the wave and trust some Luka-Magic again tonight.
